About this house rental
Welcome to Vermontany!
Named by our then-8-year-old, we bought this house in the summer of 2022, and we have been working hard to update it with new hardwood floors, fresh paint, updated furniture, and new appliances. It is hour second home, and we are always thinking up and making improvements.
Central to five ski resorts - less than 10 minutes to Magic, 15 to Bromley and Stratton, 25 to Okemo, 35 to Mt. Snow - most with year-round activities. Ride the Gondola at Stratton and enjoy the foliage in the fall or ski down in the winter. Chase thrills in the summer at Bromley's Mountain Adventure Park or on their family-friendly trails in winter.
Vermontany has views overlooking the West River. Step outside for rail trail access for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, and hiking.
Four bedrooms, each with ensuite, for privacy. Spacious seating with cozy couches in living room. Second floor living area great for kids, with puzzles, games, Chromecast, a "little free library" (take a book, leave a book), and an arcade game.
Well stocked kitchen with induction range. Close to amenities and shops.

Vermontary is located in a decent neighborhood on a beautiful river, and it has EVERYTHING you need for a relaxing stay. Kitchen is very complete. Large rooms. The only negative is that the TV use was extremely difficult due to complex sign-ins and extensive buffering of the signal. We never got it to work properly for more than a few minutes. If TV's not important to you, it's a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful time staying at this house. We couldn't get enough of the river view, and we enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs at the fire pit, just watching the rapids flow by.
It was a nice bonus that the house is just up the road from a beautiful nature trail that leads all the way to Jamaica State Park.
We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom, and each bedroom and bathroom has its own design and character.
We also liked that the house is so well cared for and super organized, with a spacious, well-equipped kitchen that made it easy to prepare and serve meals.
The upstairs family room with the Ms PacMan arcade game was lots of fun too.
This is an attractive, cozy, and well-cared-for house, and the host, Diane, is extremely easy to reach and super helpful. Highly recommend!

First and foremost the host is a lovely woman.
She is easy to communicate with and very responsive. The home is well planned for children and adults. It had many amenities with a bathroom in every bedroom. The house is clean in a quiet neighborhood. We are returning!

The hosts were very responsive and the house was very clean and well equipped with all the comforts of home. The 4 bedroom, 41/2 bath is nice for everyone to spread out and have their privacy as needed. Nice size family room and dining room to spend time together. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped. Would definitely consider booking this property again.
