About this house rental
It’s conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the exit of the Kyoto Subway’s “Shijo Station.”
We’ve renovated an authentic Kyoto machiya that’s over 150 years old to create a space where you can experience the charm of Kyoto.
Since you’ll have the entire house to yourself, you can relax and enjoy your stay at your own pace.
The first floor features a living room with a TV, and the second floor has two bedrooms, allowing for a total of five sets of futons to be laid out.
This is a private Kyoto machiya guesthouse that can accommodate up to five guests.
We provide linen changes and cleaning for guests staying four nights or longer.
Please let us know if you would like this service.
*Please note that we do not provide linen changes or cleaning for stays of 1 to 3 nights.
●When making a reservation for a date that is approaching, please be sure to specify your check-in and check-out times.
●Please let us know your futon configuration in advance.
*There are two rooms. A maximum of three sets can be arranged in the larger room, and two sets in the smaller room.
● Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire property. Please refrain from making noise late at night or early in the morning.
● Please refrain from smoking outside the facility entrance or in the garden.
● Pets are not allowed inside the facility.

We had a wonderful welcome and check out by a young employee speaking good English. He spent extra time at the beginning to answer many questions.We were disappointed because the emergency phone number was not responding when we needed it It would be nice to have a little better kitchen facility

First, the location of this home is perfect. While the house itself is very simple, the reprieve from the busy city was welcome. Please note there are no couches or love seats to sit on, this is truly an authentic experience. The home was clean, had ample heating and cooling, and was very comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful house, loved our stay. The house is situated in a fantastic area, very near the subway with Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby including a coin laundry if needed. Would definitely stay again here and would highly recommend. Only hiccup was with communication with the host but did not effect our stay . Would highly recommend.
