In Amlwch, Wales' northernmost town, just two miles away, visitors can explore the ruins of the world's largest copper mine, as well as Parys Mountain, home to the Copper Mine Trail Walk. In the Middle Ages, Amlwch's harbour was a bustling commercial centre. Beautiful sandy beaches and breath-taking cliff top walks, as well as world-class fishing and golf, are all nearby. There are many things to do in Beaumaris including a visit to its 13th century castle or take a day trip to Snowdonia or to Dublin via Holyhead port, which is just a short drive away.
