Sathkara River - Weligama

This was honestly one of the nicest cheap stays we've found in the country in all our trips across the years. We stayed in the villa option and it exceeded our expectations. The kitchen and living area made the room into something very chill-able in and cosy for those nights we didn't want to head into town. The staff were amazing as well, we bonded with hasitha and he helped us out by offering to drop us sometimes when we were on our way out and extremely attentive. Asked for an ash tray? Boom! Ash tray. Needed an extra chopping knife? Boom, hasitha hooked us up. You will feel very well looked after here I feel without that intrusive feeling that sometimes comes, but that was never the case here. There were adorable cats whose love you will have to fight for. Very much recommend!

Everything was perfect, but in my heart of hearts what could have pushed it to the next level would have been some cute little night lighting ambience in the common areas and maybe some garden sit out comfy situations. (There is still some great chillable common area with vibes though!)

My stay at Lost and Found was great! It was super welcoming, very clean and quiet. I actually had the whole dorm room to myself which was a funny experience! Hasitha my host was incredibly friendly, and helped me get to town and back with his tuktuk, really lovely guy! Thank you!

I had a wonderful time staying at this hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The dorm room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for all of my belongings. I also appreciated the convenient location of the hostel, which made it easy for me to explore the city and nearby attractions. The common areas were also great for meeting fellow travelers and socializing. Overall, I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for an affordable and enjoyable stay in the area.
