River Side Apartment, City Centre - Beautiful View and Free Parking!

Very pleasant appartement

Nothing except the size of the beds

Quite area within walking distance to center. Secure.

En-suite toilet seat broken. Cistern is a bit dodgy too. Only minor issues

The location was perfect for exploring the city and the view was fantastic! We were in town for a gig at the waterfront concert hall and the flat was within walking distance in a very quiet and serene location next to the river. The flat was clean and had everything we needed, including good coffee, milk, tea, etc.

Can't think of anything bad about it.

Communication from the owner was prompt and timely. The location is pretty good and easy to find, and an easy walk from the city, and the apartment has a decent outlook across the river. Can't comment on the kitchen facilities as we didn't use them. The lounge seating was comfortable and the TV was up to standard.

The car park entry instructions had recently changed and didn't work for us at first, but did so on the second attempt. The towels supplied and left on the beds were damp which left us wondering if the marks on them were stubborn un-removeable stains despite washing or the result of usage by the previous guests. The beds are just ordinary 4'6" double beds which is pretty small by most accommodation standards today and they weren't terribly comfortable. My wife and I didn't sleep very well and were quite tired the following day. Although the apartment looked clean at first glance there were heavy cobwebs above the wardrobe in the left-hand bedroom and left us questioning the overall cleanliness. The toilet seat in the ensuite was loose and moved around when sat upon. The showers worked well but the layout of the ensuite shower meant water sprayed all over the floor. The main bathroom was a little better. Overall we found the apartment barely adequate for an overnight stop and wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. We wouldn't book to stay here again.
