Modern 2-Bedroom Apartment on Oxford Street 8GC

Great host, we were let down on a property and they hosted us at the last minute. The location was superb and the apartment was amazing.

Lovely neighbourhood, lots of shops and restaurants. Large apartment, with a big kitchen. Modern bathroom.

Can't beat the fantastic location. There's a lift for luggage! Bedrooms and lounge are a decent size. Great washer/dryer machine. Added bonus that washing detergent is provided. Although the apartment is showing its age, its's very clean and immaculate. Tube station only 2 mins away. Hosts were super lovely and very responsive whenever we had any queries or issues. Came home one night to a small dead rodent (welcome to London!) in the bedroom and they were super quick to react with a cleaner in the next day.

Bathrooms are so small and cramp, there is no space to put your toiletries anywhere. Both have showers that require a big leg up to get in, so need to be careful. Main bathroom is manageable. Ensuite bathroom - ok if you're a contortionist, but dangerous getting in and out of shower as only a small opening and not much of a gap between that and the toilet. Bigger people would struggle. No tea towel provided in the kitchen to wipe dishes, but they do provide a big roll of paper towels. Main bedroom double bed is hard up against the wall, so difficult accessing that side of bed. Rattling window in twin room all night if windy. Not fault of property, but FYI noisy pigeons perched outside main bedroom provided unwanted early wake up calls. For our family of 4, this apartment would have been fine for 1-2 nights, but we stayed for 6 nights, and that was too long comfort-wise for us.
