Looking for a breezy beach retreat? Pack up and head to WhiteSands South, a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom beach rental for up to 8 guests in Gulf Shores, Alabama. WhiteSands South is a lovely duplex where you can unwind and cool off after a day of sun, sand, and surf. At the duplex, enjoy the dune and partial ocean views as you have your morning coffee or an evening drink on the front porch.
For breakfast, use the newly updated kitchen that features bright white appliances, lovely countertops, and a Keurig coffeemaker. For meals, sit down at the beachy table for 6. Later, get comfortable on the sectional sofa, chat in the matching armchairs, or read with the tabletop lamp. There is a flatscreen TV mounted on the wall, and you can log into Netflix to watch shows or movies.
Have a fun family game night with board games in the beach house, take advantage of wireless internet, and wash beach towels and swimsuits with the washer/dryer here. Outside amenities include a charcoal grill for grilling up fresh-caught fish, easy parking below the duplex, and a short walk – only about 4 minutes – to the beach! After a long day, climb into bed for some well-deserved rest. Bedding includes 2 queen beds, 1 king bed, and 1 twin bunk.

The interior design of the house is nice. Just had a few issues. Washer and dryer need to be updated. Had issues with both. Ice maker doesnt work, although there were 6 ice trays in the freezer. There needs to be more gravel added to the drive up onto the concrete under the house. There's about a 2-3 inch gap. A small sedan might have issues. Although i did not in my jeep. Housekeeping had not touched the house upon our arrival. Dirty linens on every bed. Cabins For You had them sent the next morning about 11:30 and resolved the issue. Unfortunately we missed a day at the beach due to housekeeping.
Facing the house to the left where there aren't any dunes or sand, the landscaping was quite overgrown.
If taking a pet i strongly suggest keeping pets in the front on gravel and off the grass due to multiple sand spurs. Would be nice if the tall pine tree by the deck could be trimmed down a bit since it blocks the view of the ocean.
Also suggest there be a reflector or more noticeable sign showing the gravel road the house is on. Very easy to miss since there is NOT a street sign. And even more so at night.
Would be nice if a small boardwalk were added for access to the beach. There was a very narrow path with stickers and tall grass through the dune to get to the beach.
We enjoyed the seclusion of the home. And it was nice no one was staying in the duplex next door.

The Whitesands South was comfortable and clean. Had to clean the bbq pit befote using it. Short walk to the beach. The weather wasn't the best the first two weeks of February but ok afterwards. Martha was wonderful and chrck in and out were easy.

I liked that it was very private and quite. Easy walk to the beach. Really great stay for a few days.

we've stayed here many times and it's always perfect. So nice to be able to bring the dogs and relax in this wonderful house.
