Gîte les Bas Clayaux

I stayed in France for two weeks on a business trip, and since I travelled from Latvia by car, it was important for me to have some flexibility regarding my arrival time, as well as a peaceful and comfortable place to rest. Honestly, this accommodation was perfect for a longer stay. It had everything you could possibly need and even more, including a very well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. It was a small, comfortable house with a terrace, located in a quiet inner courtyard, so hardly any noise from the street could be heard. Guests are provided with their own set of keys. Parking was available, and the owner Jean-François was welcoming and hospitable. The location was also very convenient for travelling by car. There was a good car wash nearby, Euro Car Wash, as well as several grocery stores within a very short distance, including Lidl. Since my business trip coincided with a heatwave, I really appreciated that the house stayed pleasantly cool and could be aired out easily. Still, if you have a fan available and know that you do not cope well with hot weather, I would recommend bringing it with you, as it will make your stay even more comfortable. I had one with me, so the heat was not a problem at all. I was also lucky enough to stay during apricot season, and the fresh apricots kindly offered by the owner were a lovely treat. Thank you!

Jean François est un hôte très accueillant, soucieux de notre bien être. L'appartement est très cosy, très bien équipé., de grandes baies vitrées, une très belle terrasse. Vaisselle adéquate.
