Esprit Bentota

Great location, just a 5-minute leisurely walk to the beach. You can even hear the sound of the waves from your room! The room itself is simple, but it has everything you need. The staff are always friendly and happy to help. There’s a great restaurant on the ground floor with a wide variety of dishes. The portions are generous, filling, and delicious.

The only downside is the lack of a water heater, although during the sunny season, the water is always hot thanks to the sunshine.

The rumbling of the occasional train, music and location made for an excellent stay with a relaxing atmosphere. Room was very clean, with good WIFI and comfortable beds. The balcony and its associated seating was enjoyed. Most staff spoke English, were extremely helpful and friendly. The service they provided can only be described as Excellent and the same goes for the breakfast. Beach, railway station, ATM and supermarket close by, about a 4 minute walk. Located in a quiet area but close enough to walk to the town, about a 6 minute walk up the hill. The river cruise and onward transport organized by the manager were excellent and went smoothly. Manager and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and this was very much appreciated.

There was no hot water from the shower, it barely had any heat.

The Manager Suresh and the Staff were very friendly and welcoming , the property looked clean, The Mutton Koththu we eat from the restaurant was super tasty 😊

Cleanliness, Friendliness, tasty food and felt like home 😊

Our time here was amazing and what we had hoped for. We really had a great experience. We'll definitely share our recommendation for this wonderful spot with others.
