About this house rental
Joya del Mar is a beachfront home in Maya Beach, with a great location on the Placencia Peninsula. When you rent the whole property, you not only have a comfortable 1-bedroom main residence, but two additional private spaces with their own outdoor entrances. So it's great for three couples traveling together, or for families with older kids who can be on their own overnight. Use the full kitchen and living room of the main residence when you want to be together, but enjoy your privacy overnight.
The Main Residence has a large king bedroom, living room, full kitchen, and balcony. The smaller Upper Suite has a queen bedroom, bathroom, small living room, small kitchenette and a large balcony as well. The Junior Room is simple and small – a queen sleeping space with a basic kitchenette and its own bathroom.
Having separate entrances and with open railings, the Upper Suite is not suitable for kids but it's perfect older children or adults.
Sometimes we are asked whether the three separate units can be rented individually. And the answer is, sometimes yes!
If you have fewer than 6 people, we may be able to do a combination of just the Main Residence and Upper suite. We would then offer the Junior Room to a third party as a standalone room.
If you are traveling alone or as a couple, you can check with us about the possibility of renting just one of the three units (either the Main Residence, the Upper Suite, or the Junior Room). In that case, there would be other guests sharing the property and using the other units.

The house was beautiful, and the ocean view from the porch and upstairs balcony was to die for. Conveniently located near town and there was a restaurant a couple doors down that we frequented often. It was such a great place for our family of 6 to stay, as the in laws had their own suite upstairs with a separate entrance, my brother in law took the guesthouse with its own entrance as well, and my husband and I along with our 6 year old stayed in the main house since it had the pullout bed in the living room. It was a fantastic trip and I would 100% recommend this house for your visit to placencia.

GREAT PLACE! It had 3 separate spaces which was perfect for us. My husband and I stayed in the main building, Mother in law up stairs and the teens had their own Casita. We spent most of our time together in the main cabin for dinners and games. I didn't realize they were separate spaces when I booked it and turned out to be perfect for us. Close to other resorts. Was able to walk down the beach to find restaurants. Not far frm stores. The only thing I would have added was a BBQ grill. Booked an excursion with Truely Wild Belize and they picked up from the house. Everything went amazingly. You will not be disappointed.

This property is wonderful! Right on the beach and close to Maya Beach Bistro, which is amazing! Everything was as stated in the ad and Herbert is one of the best and most communicative owner I think I've experienced. He was wonderful and was always quick to respond. I would highly recommend this property!
