My sister loved everything about the cottage & the location, as she was a frequent visitor to the area when her children were smaller. We so enjoyed our stay and Rowland was fantastic with communication before & throughout.

The cottage is quirky but it’s a lovely place to stay. Its location is amazing and very relaxing. Added bonus is The Coast Inn is right next door. It’s a comfortable place to stay and very relaxing. I would recommend.
One thing to note, we may have been very lucky but I would not worry about driving over The Strood, it’s not as bad as I expected.
By no means negative but if you are near to or over 6 feet, some of the ceiling beams and door frames are a little close for comfort 😆

Great location. Parking was a bonus, but of course the car then blocked the view from the lounge. As we were there over Christmas so we were indoors some of the time we just moved car to enjoy the view. The pub next door was very noisy late one evening but other than that its really quiet there.
Kitchen was well stocked, loved the decent knife set in a roll. The bathroom was modern. Main bed was very comfy with nice bedding. Didn't use second bedroom so can't comment on those. Needed more hand towels for us ladies who have hair when theee is only only one bath towel each.
Had a few comments which I passed to the owner re freezer was full of ice so no space for food and the cooker lower oven wasn't cleaned. Normally i wouldn't be using the oven but I was doing xmas dinner there.
The patio area and table outside was great and the views lovely. We enjoyed coffees and mince pies out there a few times.
Did lots of walking around and went and did the WW11 trail which was interesting.
TV and WiFi worked great and as it is a smart tv we were able to access our Netflix and Prime etc. So all in all we enjoyed our time there.
Front door keypad the numbers were not visible so struggled to get in a few times when it decided it didn't like the code. Sometimes only some of the numbers lit up. Lol.
All the below was only a nuisance because its winter and we had a cold snap. But if its to be rented out in winter I think they could be better.
Lounge radiator wasn't working which Rowland messaged us about on the day of check in. But did supply a little fan heater. The radiator did decide to work sometimes. Coldest weekend of the year and being a old cottage the back door was very drafty and the vent in lounge was very large and let in a arctic blast. Kitchen had no heating so was very cold. We bought a oil filled radiator to put in there from the hardware store 5 minutes from the cottage which we then took home. So basically draft excluder round door and a new closeable vent cover for lounge plus log burner for lounge and fix radiator would sort those things out.
The log burner is very old and not very efficient, the newer ones have clear view doors but as we are used to log burners it was fine.
The heaters being remotely set to 17 degrees for winter during the day was not good as it meant we were cold if the sun wasn't out. The cottage heats up quickly if the suns shineing.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming holiday cottage. It had such a warm and comfortable feel — spotlessly clean, cosy, and well-maintained. The location was ideal, with the added bonus of private parking. The hot tub was a real highlight and made our stay extra relaxing. The host was friendly and clear with communication through texts, which made everything easy from start to finish.
It was lovely waking up to the distant sound of seagulls and taking in the beautiful views across the bay. We also really appreciated the thoughtful personal touches in the kitchen — the coffee pod machine, tea, and fresh croissants with jam were such a nice surprise.

Location was fantastic
Sofa not comfortable and we were three people but friend came to visit and doesn't fit four but understandably space is tight. Hot tub was not working correctly but Rowland did try to fix it but unfortunately didn't sort the problem during our stay

No need to pick up keys as the coded door worked great. Absolutely fantastic area- views were incredible and the local food and drink options in walking distance (literally a stones throw) were fantastic!
The cottage was comfortable and cosy, everything we needed. The facilities were amazing- the hot tub and outdoor seating were perfect and the garden was completely secure and child friendly. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal if you want to - but there are also a wide range of dining options in walking distance too.
The beds were so comfy and although the property is old and on a road, is very quiet and peaceful.
Our 3 year old loved everything about it. There is a local beach where you can swim, a fantastic crabbing jetty and a lovely coastal walk. We thought this would be a base for wider exploring- we didn't take the car out once during our time there and spent so much time at the cottage!
The host was so friendly, accommodating and we had fantastic communication throughout. 5* service.
Absolutely amazing location, and fantastic value for money!
That we didn't stay an extra day

cottage was everything it stated on the site and more. it was not possible to describe that all windows except the small bedroom had views over the estuary. The outside space is such a bonus, as was the hot tub.We had stayed before so knew about the accomodation. There are plenty of places nearby to eat. The pub next door served great food at good prices. Parking at the property was also a bonus.Small bedroom was as shown in the photos very small but full size beds very comfy .

The location. The cottage had everything you could think of and was very comfortable. If you enjoy history, quirky but with a modern kitchen and bathroom this is the place. Oh yes, and stunning sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would hopefully stay there again in the future.
Nothing.
