    Picture being 7 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Mirissa, but when it’s time to sleep, you’re in a quiet, secluded jungle surrounded by nature. I spent three nights at Niluk’s hotel and had a great stay. It costs only 500 rupees (~$1.60 USD) to take a tuk-tuk to the beach. The bed is very comfortable, the air conditioning is cold, and it’s very quiet at night — you’ll get a great sleep. There is a terrace. You can sit on a terrace to watch all the nature I saw so many birds. There’s an optional breakfast with delicious fruit, omelets, and bread. Mirissa has a beautiful beach and is very close to the Coconut Tree Hill viewpoint. You can snorkel with turtles, go whale watching, and even do a day trip to Galle. One nice bonus touch is that you can take a stand-up paddleboard from the hotel down a scenic river to a lake — it feels like a free tour. I also appreciated being able to do my laundry on-site with a modern washing machine. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Niluk is a great guy who will help you with anything you need. I would definitely come back.
