The worst Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at.

Location to downtown

25 steps moldy musty smell no sheets for broken filthy crumb filled pullout. Mold in bathroom dirty washcloth hanging on shower curtain cobwebs by bed. Lock code didn’t work sat outside for 1 1/2 hr till man came and unlocked side door to let me in. Gave me key to side door as front was jammed shut. Owner refused to refund anything. Only reason I stayed is couldn’t afford another place as there was football and baseball games in town.

Comfortable apartment in a nice neighbourhood. Amenities were all there and easy to use. Bed was very comfortable and room was a good size. We didnt have a car, but public transport was a 20min bus ride.

Bathroom a little small, lots of stairs to entry and sofa bed wasnt super comfy, but OK.

Like staying with family

The location was in residential area convenient to a family members home. It was tastefully decorated and had the little extras that made it comfortable. The kitchen was spacious with full fridge, oven, microwave and had everything needed to make coffee and cook small meals. There were books, puzzles, and large sofa and a nice TV for relaxing and entertainment. There was an iron and table top board and access to laundry facility. The bathroom had a window and the shower was nice and HOT! The bed was comfortable and the bedroom, had a ceiling fan that worked well! There were lots of widows that made it nice to feel a fresh breeze and hear and see the cardinals stop by.

Despite the provided picture the bathroom was very small (3x5), and you had to move around toilet to get to sink and tub. There was no indication in the description of the property that you had to climb two levels of 12 steps from the street (mail box on first landing) to get to the steps of the front porch. There was no lighting on the front porch or steps other than a solar light half way; which made it a bit precarious coming back after dark or early departure with luggage.

Great apartment for a short stay in Pittsburgh. Wonderful, spacious modern living room and fully furnished kitchen. Comfy front terrace overlooking the quiet street. Very comfortable bed and bedroom.

Was not expecting the 31 steps to get up to the apartment but it was a good exercise!

Experience Pittsburgh like a Pittsburgher in a clean comfortable apartment.

If you are used to staying at a hotel you need to reset your expectations; there is no front desk, or a maid to refresh your room each day. You are in a comfortable apartment in a safe Pittsburgh neighborhood (Crafton Heights near the West End). The apartment was clean and well appointed, you have a full kitchen including microwave, toaster, dishwasher, stove and oven, dishes, glassware, and cutlery. I really felt I was in someone's home. After I booked it I asked about parking (rookie mistake), our host told us it was free street parking and it depends when you arrive on what is available. I have lived in city neighborhoods where parking is very competitive and you can look for HOURS to find a spot; in reality it was not an issue, we arrived after midnight on some nights and was able to park within a house or two of the apartment. Most of the time we parked right in front of the house. If you are not from Pittsburgh you may be unaware, there are a lot of steps and this apartment has a lot of steep steps (nearly two dozen). Bringing in bags was a work out and took several trips. My only real complaint is the bathroom was tiny - 4 ft wide, and the toliet was right in front of the door. The back of the toliet tank was 9 inches from the wall, this forces you to shimmy around the toilet to get in front of the sink or to the bathtub - a minor inconvenience but annoying. The location of the apartment was excellent, being close to the West End we were minutes from Mount Lebanon, Greentree, downtown, the Strip District, the North Shore, Mexican War Streets, Robinson, and the airport.

Like I said above, the bathroom was tiny. There was only one burner working on the stove but we first used it toward the end of the stay so it might have just needed to be repaired. There was free Wi-Fi but it was poor, it took a long time to download an internet page.

Great apartment, recommended.

The host is great. Code at the entrance, very simple and efficient. Package arrived before I arrived and it was saved for me. Clean, spacey apartment. No problem parking.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here

It was a short drive to the stadium and easy to get too.

The black mold in the shower is ridiculous and we refused to take a shower. The missing smoke detector is a huge safety concern. The uneven floors are form the foundation problems. It also causing cracks into the walls.

Amazing Value for the Price

This place is an incredible value for the cost. It's a private, separate apartment on the first floor in a modest-looking house (as seen from the outside), so how huge and well/personally decorated it actually is comes as a really nice surprise.

*I* loved everything. You will need to be able to climb some relatively steep and long stairs from the street to the apartment door, so it may not be ideal for someone who has any mobility issues.
