This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom rental features a BBQ grill and a desk. Bathroom amenities include a hair dryer and soap. This apartment is spacious and very well appointed. The balcony/terrace and garden areas were lovely, and the views of the sea and surrounding trees and gardens were super.
M. and Mme Le Forestier were welcoming and helpful, but left us to enjoy the tranquility of the accommodation.
The walk along the coastal footpath below the house, and the easy walk to town and beach were very pleasant. The one-way streets in Pornic are easy to master with the helpful town plan provided by the owners. Parking in June was no problem anywhere.
Lots to do around the town and adjacent coast.
At times, the coves to the west of Pornic reminded us of the Greek Islands, (or Cornwall in good weather and without the crowds!).
The best day trip was to the old town of Guerande and to the lovely Grande Briere (for the birdlife and waterways) via the fantastic St Nazaire bridge over the Loire. We didn't have enough days to fit in a trip to Ile Noirmoutier (visible from the balcony).
We plan on returning.soon.
