Loved the Marina location!
The restaurant & Bar was top notch…even better being steps away from our house boat.
We would have liked to have had a screen on the sliding door to the deck…couldn’t leave it open because of the bugs.

I really like everything there is at this location.
TV didn’t work but internet was good.

The location
It was filthy and smelled like someone had been sick in the room, the floors were so greasy we had to wear shoes the whole time and the two of us who slept on the bed woke up with bites on us.
9.0 / 10.0
The house boat was in a little Marina that was lively. We saw a manatee, several pelicans and even a little jellyfish from our patio. The kitchenette was well stocked with kitchen supplies. The beds were big and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and there were lots of linens
The bathroom wasn't very large. Also, it wasn't clear ahead of time how to check in, but someone was there when I called and guided me to our houseboat. It was hidden behind a big boat parking lot, so it looked industrial at first

Atmosphere and location
No heat and it got a little cold at night

A wonderful hotel, quite spacious - there are many fish on the territory and we even saw a manatee (it was very interesting to watch them).
Convenient check-in and check-out - without any problems and quick.
- Fishy smell: present (but acceptable to me)
- Noise: also moderate
The advantages include: plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, a dish sponge and dish soap in the room, as well as plenty of dishes.
Despite the drawbacks (which are easily fixable for this hotel), I would stay here again.
Disadvantages:
1) There were no disposable toiletries in the bathroom (except for toilet paper - there was plenty of that).
There was NO hand soap and no shampoo - this is a basic necessity that should be available everywhere and always (they could have also added toothpaste and disposable toothbrushes). OR at least they should warn guests that there is no hand soap.
2) There is a coffee machine (but there is no coffee in the room itself, not even single-serving packets or capsules).
3) The cleaning fee for the room was $149 (but the outside of the house – the balcony area – was covered in dust. This didn't bother me, but since they charge such a fee, they could at least provide quality cleaning).
4) no breakfast

It was really nice and it was close to downtown and all the activity close to the beaches
I was having a great birthday weekend, but then the two people that rented next to me were smoking which made it hard for me to sit on the deck and enjoy the remaining couple of days of my trip even though they said there was no smoking on the property they were still doing this so that made it somewhat annoying for me. Other than that it would’ve been great.

Everything. This is my favorite spot in Key West. And one of my top vacation spots ever. I will be booking again for March. Would’ve already booked. I’m not 100% sure on the dates.
Nothing… I love it

What we like about the lodge the most was that I can come and go freely with no front desk awkwardness.. We felt like we were enjoying the best of Key West at Aqua Lodge. I had a flat tire, and it was convenient to have a tire shop right next door.
Not only did they service electric scooters, but they also service my rental car as well at a very decent price.Hurricane Hole was the best restaurant in Key West, and we were there for a week. We saw great marine wildlife, kayaking, and a boat ride around Key West. The house boat itself was a dream experience. Enough space for 20, but remember only one bathroom. The AC kept us cool in the middle of July with 110 degrees outside. The patio deck with that rain, 👌 awesome. Morning and evening rain, romantic and peaceful. We will definitely be back. Stay safe, Aqua Lodge 🙏
The bathroom didn't have an AC unit. Gets hot, and no, you don't want to open the window. It's not the Aqua Lodge fault, but the No-see-ums sucks. They found my legs on day four on our week stay. You can not predict or control your neighbors. The houseboats welcome all who is willing. It's a harbor, so if a fisherman is having a bad day, they will try to spread it around. ( misery loves company, I guess)

Enjoyed everyone that worked on or in or around the marina everyone was kind. Would definitely recommend having a car to be able to get everywhere easy or a golf cart. We were also able to take a charter to the sandbar with Captain Bridget and it was convenient since she docked there and was amazing and would recommend anyone to use her charter.
The bed was extremely hard and pillows to thin. I would also recommend a pull out couch bed in the entrance instead of the permanent bed in place making it hard to get in and out.

It was conveniently close to downtown. Easy check in and out.
It took a very long time for the ac to cool down the room, our first night it was 86* in the room. The lighting was wired very weirdly, and the light to the loft, which was directly above the loft. Bed was also connected to the ceiling fan in the middle of the living room so if you try to turn off the light above the bed, you also had to turn off the ceiling fan so with our AC not working, we just had to sleep in a bed directly under a super bright light in order to have a ceiling fan, you could not turn off that light without turning off the ceiling fan, because two separate sources were on the same switch.

Honestly it was a really cool experience to stay in a boat house. It’s really cute and small and it has a nice view at night outside.
Obviously it moves a little all the time so probably it’s not the best if you get boat sick of something

different experience, contact with nature
There was a lot of boat movement in the Marina and there were cockroaches in the apartment. I apologize to the cleaning team for the note, I know this is about pest control.

The only
Part that was bad was the us1 traffic and really that wasn’t to bad but must be a hospital across the street cause ambulance was constantly turning on that road with sirens. Blaring. But once it got down that street I guess the hospital is in they shut off other then that great time

Easy to check in using your code provided in the email. No need to visit a desk. We loved sleeping on the boat, it gently rocked us to sleep. Everyone had space. Mattresses were very comfortable. Everything was very clean. The restaurant out front had good food and great drinks. Very convenient for people who are traveling.
Could use a second mirror to free up the bathroom. It is located in a marina with boats coming in and out to clean fish or get gas.

Loved the location in the Marina. So peaceful and majestic at night especially. Totally unplugged from life at night and enjoyed the sounds of nature, enjoying coffee on the deck. It was a great experience for the grandkids especially watching the various sea life (nurse sharks, manatees, pelicans, seagulls, tarpons etc. at the fish cleaning area and pier). Rented a pontoon from the Marina, one of the big highlights of our trip as well.
Restaurant at Marina had amazing food, especially the catch of the day, red snapper! Amazing.
I didn't care for the toilet. A little too tall even for the average person so you can tell most lean to wipe, which caused the toilet to be wobbly. It's like a camper on a pontoon! 🤩
A smidge pricey / night but i suppose for the Keys, it was normal.

We loved having two bedrooms, eating outside on the patio, and spotting manatees!
There was a night or two with very high winds and the ramp banged very loudly on the boat and made it difficult to sleep.

Very clean and comfortable‘aqua-lodge’. I thought this would be very basic but it was absolutely lovely. The abundance of wildlife was amazing. We had pelicans and storks on our roof, manatees under our boat as well as sharks and tarpons. Truly brilliant.
I loved everything.
