The Arches Larklands

I loved the location and the fact that it’s a real farm. Other reviews I’ve seen didn’t like the noise from farm animals etc but you should expect full authenticity from staying on a real working farm with roosters, sheep dogs and all sorts of animal noises. The property was very nice and had everything we could have needed. Our neighbours Jack and finn were lovely and we enjoyed hearing all about the farm and surrounding history from them. Special thanks to Finley who became good friends with my niece and nephew.

A little tricky to locate via satellite navigation but if you continue from where the map takes you and carry on it’s just across the metal grid into the farm

The property was lovely and homely. It was also very well stocked.

The dogs in the farm were very noisy until late.

Property itself was brilliant, immaculate and very thoughtfully stocked, from butter and milk in the fridge to a full toy basket. Very comfortable bed, good showers and great kitchen with perfect living area

We fully prepared for being adjacent to a working farm, no problem with cows, sheep, horses and chickens. However, we found the large number of dogs kennelled on the property noisy and a little intimidating (we brought our dog) . There was also a large number of cats housed in an old car close to our door - not ideal.

The house is great, all on one floor. Very good kitchen equipment, laundry and smart TV’s The property is easy to find and the rooms are of a very good size.we had two 14 year olds a 4 year old and two 2 year olds. The teens had a room each toddlers and 4 year old in our room and still plenty of room.

We were expecting a working farm but the very unpleasant pile of dead rotting animals at the entrance was not good at least one dead calf and half dozen sheep. The main accommodation is open plan, and with two toddlers running about we could have done with a stair gate.
