Comfortable and restful apartment, a great base to explore the Cotswold

Cirencester is in a beautiful part of the Cotswold, with Birbury and Burton-on-the-Water being nearby and everything within driving distance through scenic farmland and countryside. The apartment was a great base for us, it was clean, comfortable and restful. We enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed, including entertainment like Netflix and board games. Location-wise, it is a few minutes walk to town and Tesco Express where you can buy food supplies easily. We parked at the long-stay Beeches carpark as we didn't want to rush in the mornings, and it is an easy and pleasant walk to the apartment. Communication with the hosts were clear and timely.

Home away from home

Ashcroft loft is a beautiful apartment located in the heart of Cirencester. Super close to the town center, shops, grocery stores, etc. Apartment itself is very well laid out, with the best part being the balcony. Spacious, super clean and very well appointed especially in the kitchen. We were a family of 5 including a 18 month old toddler, and the apartment had everything we could possibly need including things like a high chair, clothes rack, etc. huge shout out to the hosts for thinking of everything.

Nothing really. The property was amazing. Only thing to consider is that the apartment is on the 1st floor so there’s a flight of steps to walk up, and then a flight of stairs internally to the top bedroom.

This place was not for us.

The property was easy to find and parking was no problem. The balcony was nice.

We didn’t like the neighbors. The neighbor that shared the hallway played very loud music until Midnight both nights. We stayed on a Mon and Tues night! The neighbor that we shared a balcony wall with decided to host a balcony party at around 11:30 pm…. on Tues. We ended up having to have a chat with them and they did finally tone it down. Not what I want to deal with on a holiday. That brings me to my other issue. We were so hot. The duvets on the bed were for bitter cold winter weather, not for summer. We couldn’t open the windows due to noise. The fan was useless. The experience would have been much better with air conditioning.

A lovely place to stay ideal for walks (the nearby park is stunning!) and beautiful shops.

Apartment is very stylish and comfy. Location is great easy to walk to shops about 8 min walk away. Park is also very close.

Great experience in a great location

Great flat, very good condition. We booked it in the last minute in new year's eve but Rachel was super responsive and answered all of our questions via email. The house is 30 seconds away from the high streets with all the restaurants and shops. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and there were even chargers to use which helped us as we forgot ours.

Two things to note - the parking is in the payable Tesco's parking which is a minute walk from the house, so of you are with a small child and it's very cold it's worth noting that. Besides that it was perfect and one of the best vacation rental houses I've stayed in.
