The house was very clean and had the perfect surface for our two. Very nice garden around the house. The swimming pool was also in very good condition. The owners were very gently and helpful, we got a lot of good information for gastronomy and excursions. The lady is a perfect host. This is a recommendation for people looking for rest and culture. We would advise it to our nearest contacts.

we stayed at "Il Melograno" for 13 fantastic days. Paola is an open hearted and adorable person. it was a pleasure to meet her. we had a couple of very interesting talks with her father Carlo. He and his wife cruised all of Europe on his motorbike! we felt more like family than just guest :-) the house itself was a diamond! Paola is very creativ and you can see her love for the detail everywhere. we had "la Natura" and we loved it, because the terrace was just next to the kitchen, so it was very easy to eat outside. We also loved the pool and the garden with the apple, pear and fig trees. The whole place is a beauty! Gallicano is a nice little village and definetly worth to visit. There a two Restaurants "Eliseo" and "da Ale". Both are very good. At "da Ale" you can have Pizza to go. Everything is within walking distance. And it is a good start to do some hiking excursions. It has a wonderful nature! My husband loves to travel by train, so we made our way to Cinque Terre from the train station Barga-Gallicano. It is just 5 Minutes away. It took us maybe 45 Minutes longer, but it was a nice trip. You can also go to Pisa, Lucca and Firenze by train easily. The tickets are very cheap and easy to buy from the machine via card. we are so happy we found Il Melograno. there is just left to say: GraZie MiLLe per tutto. Arrivederci a presto :-) Daniela. Very nice stay in Gallicano Paola is a very nice person (like the whole family) who gave me very interesting information. Very clean and nice swimming pool. Some good restaurants in this area. Barga is a must ! See u ….. Thierry

It was a brilliant stay at „il Melograno“! Paola and Carlo do make it comfort for everybody. The House was wonderful, the garden nice and the pool excellent. Paola and/or Carlo helped planning the days/trips and their recommendations were always helpful! To make it short: It felt like staying at good Friends! Sadly, however, holiday is to over, but we will come back some day!

The owners could not have made us feel more welcome. The gardens and pool are well kept and lovely to be in. The kitchen was well equipped and for the first time, we didn't have to buy any utensils, chopping boards, pans etc. A great place for a relaxing holiday in beautiful scenery.

The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable and well equipped, with a pretty, private, outdoor eating space as well as the beautiful pool and garden area. It’s all very well kept and tranquil too. The location is perfect for sightseeing - Lucca and Barga are fascinating and just a short drive away - and convenient for shops and some great restaurants. The hosts are wonderfully helpful and made us (2 adults and a 3-month old) feel incredibly welcome. We hope to return soon. We also now have a new nickname for our son! Wonderful week spent amongst stunning fruit trees in this fab oasis in Toscana, hosts Paola & Carlo were friendly and helpful, don't hesitate, book!
