The house is a well maintained family house with beautiful view over the surrounding mountains and local villages. We had a great holiday there.

Carlo and Anna are brilliant host - nothing was too much trouble. The property was perfect for us, very clean and with everything there that you could possibly need on holiday. Great view and lovely people (not to mention the food - delicious). We would happily stay there again. Regards Helen

After a long trip we had warm welcome with wine and goodies for the first needs. Carlo and Anna are both very helpful by making reservations or do nice suggestions for trips. The area is really beautiful. So much to do and to see. The time we spent in the house we spent on the nice terrace at the swingcouch and with the great view. A real Italian vibe šŸ¤—šŸ™

We loved our stay in this big vintage house. Everything you needed in the kitchen, big bedrooms, made on arrival, and a treat in the fridge. Anne made us feel so welcome and helped with arranging dinners, making reservations a d showing us beautiful Cascio. You do need a a car to get around but then there are beautiful places to visit like Pisa, Lucca and Florence (by train), and for a sportive visit numerous swimming pools and the Canyon Park.

A home from home
A home from home
This is a beautiful typical Italian home in a great location. It's in an ideal situation for exploring the nearby countryside with a great view of the local mountains from the sunny balcony. Highlights during our short break here included eating in some of the many excellent restaurants in the nearby town (Castelnuovo), hiking in the hills and generally just enjoying the lovely views from the house. The owner could have not been more helpful in terms of his prompt communication and great suggestions for things to do. The house itself was very well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen for self catering and toiletries left for the use of guests. It was like a home from home! I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to family and friends and would really like to return at some point in the future.

A beautiful place in an astounding spot!
A beautiful place in an astounding spot!
The house sits on the peaceful slopes of a hill overlooking an incredibly beautiful valley. I would spend my time (when not out exploring) sitting on the terrace, just soaking it in. A truly inspiring visit.

Amazing villa, views and location!
Amazing villa, views and location!
So much I wanted to say about this place and can’t do it justice all in one review! The house is laid out perfectly, two single beds in a shared room for my boys and a double bedroom for us with a mountain view from the bed! Very scenic and beautiful. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Even some Limoncello to sample! There is a dish washer but we preferred to wash by hand. The added bonus is that there is a washing machine. I shall know to pack lighter on our next visit! The bathroom is lovely and has a shower-youngest son dislikes showers but we got him in it and actually liked it. Being end of season holiday in October the weather was particularly stormy and Italy was experiencing floods and storm damage in areas, it didn’t put us off. It was warm but wet some days. A waterproof and umbrella is all that’s needed. We wore light layers so we could put on or take off when needed. Coming home to the Villa most evenings in the dark there was sufficient lighting and the warmth of central heating. I would recommend taking a pair of slippers so you don’t get cold feet on the beautiful Italian floors too. I cannot recommend Carlo, Anna and the Villa enough. We shall be back to explore more of what Italy has to offer and do more locally too.

Tuscany half term holiday 2018
Tuscany half term holiday 2018
A pleasant flight and car journey to this gorgeous Italian home in the mountains. Greeted by a very welcoming Anna who had gone above and beyond by leaving us a delicious home baked cake, bottle of fizz for us and pear juice for the mini ones! Also some much needed milk for a cuppa that went so well with that cake. Carlo Bertoncini (Anna’s nephew) was full of pre holiday advice, reassurance and committed to ensuring we had a great holiday. We pre planned our excursions the night before dependant on the October weather. A little stormy at the beginning of the week but didn’t put us off getting out and exploring. The house itself is a traditional upper level Italian family home contained with everything you need including a terraced balcony with views to die for. There is a property below which is also occupied by family. We drove from our location everyday and made trips to Modena to The Ferrari Museum and also a local walk around the old town stopping for fantastic coffees. This is also the home town of Luciano Pavarotti, His music can be heard in the museum. We drove to Barga the family home town of Paulo Nutini (one of my faves!) the most Scottish town in Italy! We climbed the steps to the top where we saw a military museum and Duomo Di san Cristoforo with spectacular views all around. We then Headed to Lucca the walled city, found nearby street parking and found ourselves walking into Piazza Amfiteatro where an episode of Top Gear had been filmed. Beautiful pasta and wine to be eaten here. We climbed Torre delle Ore (clock tower) and heard them chime right above us at 3pm and also the nearby Torre Guinigi (the tower with trees on top!) some amazing views from both towers. The following day saw us head to Sant’Agata Bolognese to the Lamborghini museum-you might notice a car theme going on here! Mother of two young petrol heads! Also nearby is the Ducati Museum sadly we didn’t get time to visit this year. One of my most memorable and favourites days was in Pisa. Being a typical tourist and visiting the Cathedral, Baptistery and climbing the tower. We then headed up to Mura Di Pisa to climb the walls, 3km long to see the views around us. We ate out during the day and cooked when we got back in the evenings. Our facilities were clean, comfortable and we are definitely returning next year. The service From Carlo and Anna was superb. Our boys said ā€˜This is the best holiday ever!’ Memories made ā¤ļøšŸ‘Œļ潚Ÿ»ļæ½
