We were made very welcome by Paola, Carlo and Loretta- and they kindly left us a bottle of Chianti and some local honey to welcome us further. The accommodation was much larger and airier than we had anticipated, with full air conditioning throughout. The super king bed on the mezzanine floor was very comfortable . The patio provided a shady place to eat , and a welcome escape from the sun. The pool is absolutely beautiful, set in landscaped gardens, under imposing mountains. It is stunning and absolutely pristine. The facilities are excellent and it is well placed for local restaurants, bars and shopping. We stayed for three weeks. It was perfect!

What a superb holiday apartment, pictures don’t do this place justice. We stayed for almost 2 weeks, apartment is as described but doesn’t show the lovely gardens full of fruit trees and the impeccable condition of the pool, ideal for hot summer days to cool off. Gallicano is well placed for exploring or completely relaxing, walking distance to local cafe, bakery and town is just a short 10 min walk, well equipped supermarket is a km away - can’t rate location to amenities highly enough. Paolo and her wonderful dad Carlo were in hand before, during and after our stay with helpful information, couldn’t ask for nicer hosts! Would definitely stay again when visiting Tuscany!

We had a wonderful vacation! The place was just perfect to relax (especially the pool was fantastic), but also to start ,trips to the surrounding cities and mountains. Trips to Pisa, the beach, to Florence are doable in a very convenient way. My personal recommendation: Lucca. Paola and her father have done a great job, being friendly, helpful hosts, just professional. 100% recommendation.

The place is very good for people who want to relax. Garden is beautiful and pool also. Paola (menager) and her father are helpful and very nice. There are many restaurant (in Gallicano and Barga). Good point to visit other towns in Tuscany.

We had a really wonderful break at Il Melograno! A really nice place to take a break from everyday life. Fully equipped house, very clean, a really nice pool and perfectly situated to discover Tuscany. Pisa, Firenze and Lucca are only a short drive away (1h30 max), but also some really nice small villages to discover in the green mountains of Gafargnana like Burga. To top it all, Paola and her family are incredibly helpful hosts! We hope to come back soon!

We loved our stay at B&B Il Melograno. The appartement was well equipped, super clean en nicely decorated. The garden was lovely and a nice place to chill and we loved the pool which was really clean aswel. Paola had good recommendations for restaurants nearby, which made our stay even better! We would defintely recommend this place to family and friends and we would love to come back someday! Thanks Paola and parents for having us and making our stay so lovely!

We enjoyed very much our Summer week in Paola‘s holiday house. Excellent interior with lovely details. Very clean. Great Pool and welk-tended Garden. High Covid-19 security standards. Above all, Paola is a helpful and charming host.

The house we rented was called ' Mondolata' and was as shown in the photographs, clean and comfortable. Their guests needs had been thought of with a welcome basket of basic food items, washing up needs and even rubbish bags. When travelling from offshore things like this are appreciated ! The garden was wonderful, and we enjoyed eating our meals on the covered patio. Carlo gave us all the information, advice and literature we needed to get the most out of our stay in the Garfagnana area. Gallicano was an excellent location from which to explore the area and also visit Lucca and The Cinque Terra. We did manage to relax by the pool for a short time. Thank you Carlo and Paola for making our visit so memorable.

My wife and I stayed in Limonaia for 6 nights in July this year. We cannot recommend this place enough. From the beautiful area of Gallicano and nearby Barga, to the immaculate villas at B&B Il Melograno to the friendly and welcoming proprietors, Paola, Carlo and the whole family - who couldn't do enough for us, this was a fantastic stay. Ideally located for trips into Lucca, Pisa and Florence as well as many of the quieter and less "touristy" areas in the region this was perfect. As I mention above, Carlo and his family were extremely welcoming and never hesitated to recommend places to go and things to see and we were treated to fresh fruit and veg from their very own self sufficient allotment and fruit plants. Such a perfect stay!

This is Italian hospitality at it's best. We spent a week in this cosy Limonaia appartment - very nice and clean, nicely decorated, kitchen fully equipped with everything you can think of - The owner Carlo and his daughter Paola are amazing, helping you with everything you need. They will tell you everything there is to know about the surroundings, everything you can do etc. etc.You can relax at the garden & very nice pool, both very well kept. You have your own (private) space outside next to the appartment. I can not recommend this more. You have to go to B&B Il Melograno!
