Yogahouse Prasaad is located on the edge of a nature park, right at the foot of the highest peak in the Hegau region, the Hohenhewen. From our house, located below the Almenhütte hiking parking lot, you can set out directly on the Hewensteig premium hiking trail. It’s also ideal for hikers on the Freiburg-Lake Constance Cross-Country Trail or the Black Forest-Jura-Lake Constance Trail. Nestled in the unique beauty of the Hegau landscape between Lake Constance, the Black Forest, and the Alps, our location offers a wide variety of hiking and other recreational opportunities. We’re located right on the outskirts of town, in a quiet area with very little traffic, offering a wonderful view of the beautiful Hegau landscape and, in good weather, even as far as the Alps. Our guest rooms are located in the newly renovated attic and on the first floor of our former farmhouse, and each has a separate entrance. They are lovingly furnished, simple and well-maintained, and exude a sense of tranquility. For those seeking relaxation, there is the option to participate in yoga classes. Numerous shopping options are available within walking distance. A public bus stop is a 4-minute walk from the house. And there are two nearby train stations (Engen Main Station or Welschingen/Neuhausen) about 2 km away. The “Seehas” train takes you via the Engen–Singen–Radolfzell–Allensbach route all the way to Konstanz. The Black Forest Railway runs via Donaueschingen–Triberg–Hornberg–Gengenbach to Offenburg. It’s about a 20-minute drive to Lake Constance, the Swiss border, and Schaffhausen to see the Rhine Falls. Electric bike rentals are available through the Engen Tourism Association! (May through October). You are eligible for a guest card!
A very bright and quiet five-bed room (non-smoking) with double sinks, a desk, a closet, and a modern en suite shower (hair dryer provided). It can also be used as a single or double room. It offers a great view of the greenery (garden, Hohenhewen Nature Park) and access to two shared restrooms on different floors. A modern shared kitchenette with a refrigerator and freezer is available for reheating food. Exclusively for vegetarian or vegan meals. Only reheating food is permitted; no cooking. The kitchenette is also used by the yoga studio. Additionally, you have the option to participate in yoga classes or receive private lessons by prior arrangement. Separate entrance area. The entrance to the room is the same as that to the yoga studio; this means that before and after in-person classes—currently on Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings—our yoga students may briefly gather in the lobby. Ideal for hikers and short-term guests.
