About this house rental
A retreat for adults and tweens (8 and up), this home boasts hardwood and stone flooring throughout. Tile showers, granite counter tops, real wood cabinets, floor to ceiling glass facing the slopes and other fine finishes. With all of the hard surfaces and glass barriers, this home is unfortunately not young child friendly. Large refrigerator, wine rack, and kitchen ready for hosting with stainless steal appliances and all the cooking utensils / pots / pans / bowls / etc. you could need. Each room is outfitted with quality soft linens and towels, extra blankets and a window to watch it snow.
For our Spring / Summer / Autumn guests, we are walking distance to Timberline Mountain and a short drive to Canaan Valley Resort so you can easily tap into their events schedule. Our firepit area is perfect for your evening gatherings. You are able to hike into the Dolly Sods, play tennis, fish, golf, and enjoy the outdoors without ever driving more than 3 minutes. You are a short walk away from The Owl Market which boasts wonderful pastries and coffee as well as a beer and wine selection and ice cream service. A short scenic drive and you can enjoy the little towns of Davis and Thomas, as well as Black Water Falls.
For our Winter guests, this home is located in the base area of Timberline Mountain, privately tucked away but just on the edge of the parking lot. 4WD will not be necessary as you will not need to ascend steep local roads to access the driveway. This is a personal home, owned and loved by a couple that works at Timberline Mountain. We will be just a phone call or text away during your stay should you need anything.

Very good location, close to the lift hill so can just walk over. Clean and good sized rooms. Would definitely recommend!

We do an annual old friend ski/snowboard trip and this was our first time staying at a spot where you didn't have to drive to the resort. Probably can't go back now because it was awesome being able to walk out the door and be at the lift in 5 minutes. The house is also perfect for couples. We have always had to draw straws for the bunk rooms/rooms with small beds or get bigger houses than we need in the past. This one gives you four great rooms with queens for couples so nobody gets short changed (only had 3 this year). If you had a fifth wheel the glass room would be perfectly comfortable for them. Just a great house; couldn't have asked for better setup or location. The master bath with Jacuzzi tub is interesting with all the windows and no curtains but the more "free spirited" couple loved it just the way it was haha.

Stayed here for a weekend ski trip to Timberline. The house was great and the location couldn't be beat for skiing. The hosts were great!
