Sapa Farmstay

This homestay was absolutely beautiful and in a serene location. We loved that it was in the Tan Van village, with a gorgeous view of the rice terraces right from our balcony and from the pool. We did not mind that it was away from Sapa town at all. The room itself was tastefully decorated in Hmong traditional art pieces. The family running the homestay were wonderful, and very helpful. They helped arrange transfer from the train station, and to the city. Breakfast was simple, but yummy. We also did the trekking tour with batik workshop through them which was an amazing experience. Finally, having dinner with them was a highlight of our Vietnam trip!

Although the room was mostly clean, the bathroom could use some deep cleaning. There was mildew, mold and a whole family of ants in the shower. There were also some bugs in the room itself. The towels can also use some updating. The road leading up the homestay is very rugged, so it was hard for taxi drivers to get us to the homestay, and a few times we had to walk up ourselves. Trekking tour was on the higher end of price and we do wish they informed us that there would be option for swimming so we would be better prepared in bathing suits :)

The place is beautiful. I call this place, " Welcome to the Calm " 😍 absolutely perfect location And the awesome pool overlooking the beautiful valley below is very well thought of. The owners are very welcoming and kind. We love the breakfast serve. Its a perfect get away from the noise of the town but.not too far.

The view was fantastic. The pool was fantastic. The evening meals with family were both of the highest quality and congenial.

A couple of tiny things: - I am a writer. So, it would have been nice to have a desk and chair. -Comfortable seats for the balcony.

The family was amazing, so sweet and also fun. We played uno with some of the kids and ate dinner with the family (you can also choose not to, but we highly recommend it). The rooms were super relaxing and beautiful. Another thing to mention is the food, because holy mother on a bicycle it was good. Can’t recommend this place enough if you are going to sapa. We also got our clothes cleaned while here.
