Der Aufenthalt im Ocean View in Cleggan war super schön, denn die Unterkunft ist nicht nur ideal direkt beim Connemara-Nationalpark gelegen (atemberaubende Natur), sie erfüllte auch unsere Vorstellungen von einer süßen, sauberen und gemütlichen Unterkunft direkt an der Westküste Irlands mit Blick auf den Atlantik. Wir haben von unserem Host die besten Tipps bekommen und unter anderem war der Ausflug auf die Insel Inishbofin einer unserer schönsten Reisemomente.

Nous avons tout aimé. Maisonnette très bien équipée. Au calme dans un beau jardin . Hôte attentionné, généreux et très agréable. Très bien situé pour un séjour dans le Connemara.

I couldn’t feel more most welcomed than by hosts Sheila and Alan. They were absolutely nice and helpful and recommended shops and sights in the area. For the first breakfast they provided me with homemade scones (super delicious!), butter and jam. Sheila furthermore introduced me to dog Murphy and cat Lili, who were very friendly, so they knew I belong to the premises for a while.
The cottage was really comfy, equipped with everything one needs for a stay. A home afar from home.
And the view… absolutely spectacular, a real fantastic ocean view. Just sitting outside ocean’s view cottage and enjoying the view out of the ocean, some islands and Cleggan and Clifden was such a treat. I’ll definitely have to return.
