Casa Garitas was a great locally owned spot to rest and refresh upon our late arrival into SJO and the night before we left to return home. We mostly communicated with Nelson, who was fast to respond via WhatsApp. They picked us up from the Airport after we dropped off our rental car and got us to the airport again the next morning. He also offered to bring us to a supermarket or restaurant if we needed any thing to eat. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The only thing to note is that on the map in Booking.com it looked like it was right across from the airport (SJO) but it is actually in La Garitas about 15mins drive away.

Attentive staff, I loved Alcott the English Bull Dog who came to visit me while I sipped my coffee in the morning.
No counter space in the bathroom.

The pick up from the airport is great. Even if it wasn’t free but 5USD per reservation is super cheap. The location was totally fine, I personally didn’t see much uf the surrounding as I went straight to Drake the next morning. The staff was so so so nice. They made the stay extraordinary.
There where lots of spiders in my room and stance on the towels. Nothing major and totally fine for one night of course.

Comfortable room. Shuttle service was very convenient.
Lots of inaccuracies in room description. Address on Booking. com is nowhere bear the actual location. If not using the shuttle ensure you check with hotel for actual location, which is in the middle of nowhere. Bathroom tap was wobbly and handle kept coming off sliding door. Shower was very low pressure and inconsistent temperature.
