Lovely little hostel

Good for an overnight stop on the way to the airport. The bed was huge and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. The shower was hot. You could make a tea or coffee in the kitchen (with your own supplies). Breakfast was included but we didn’t have it as we left early to see the volcano (which was amazing and clear that day). The rear courtyard was nice to sit in the sun.
It was a little older but that is to be expected by the price. It did the job.

Good atmosphere upon arrival, friendly staff at reception. I was very disappointed with the continental breakfast option (not true). They have scrambled eggs, rice and half a slice of pineapple. I asked for fried eggs, but the kitchen staff just looked at me and had no other alternative.
Instead, I received two extra half slices of pineapple through which you could see the sky. If you think you will enjoy having breakfast included, I suggest you think again before staying at this hotel.
Very noisy, both staff and guests, probably because everyone is in transit. For one night it is fine, but I would not return.

Good location in the centre of Alajuela, a short (15 mins) Uber from the airport, and reasonable price compared to other options. Staff were friendly and allowed us to leave our bags after we’d checked out.
Everything was a bit tired, and there was a large squashed bug on the wall of our room when we arrived. Half the bathroom window was missing, there was no air con and the only window opened onto the public landing. Breakfast was small and basic.
