About this farm stay rental
Welcome to Chickapoo Farm! The Coop is one of three homes available for rent within a 2 mile radius. This adorable little 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is located in Shelbyville, KY and is the perfect place to come relax, unwind, and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There is a hiking trail as well as a stocked pond on the property that our guests are welcome to enjoy. Fall back to a simpler time and feel the stress melt away at Chickapoo Farm in Shelbyville, KY.

CAN I CHECK IN EARLY?
We do our very best to make sure the cabin is ready for our next guests. If you need a check-in earlier than 4pm, there will be a $50 fee.
CAN I USE THE POND?
You will have access to a pond on the walking trail. You may fish but we ask that you catch and release. Swimming is not permitted.
WHAT GROCERY STORES ARE THERE?
There is a Walmart and Kroger in Shelbyville. You can purchase your favorite alcoholic beverage at Cox’s Spirit Shoppe, located close to the I64 exit onto SR 55. There are other locations in Shelbyville as well: Kroger Wine & Spirits, Save A Lot, and Liquor World.
HOW DO I CHECK IN?
THE COOP has a code to use to check in. You will receive a detailed message through the app a day or two before your stay with cabin address and directions.
IS THERE WIFI AVAILABLE?
Yes, the WIFI and password information are located inside the house.
HOW CLOSE ARE THE COOP TO ATTRACTIONS?
• You are in Shelbyville and Shelby County. With seven parks, four golf courses, two wineries, and two world-class distilleries there is plenty to do and see. Go to visitshelbyky.com for more information.
• Taylorsville Lake State Park is 20 minutes away. The Administration Office is located at 1320 Park Road, Mt. Eden, KY 40046. You can Hike on multiple trails, Boat, Kayak, Horseback Ride, Fish or just watch the sunset over the lake. For more information go the parks.ky.gov.
• Churchill Downs and Museum are 50 minutes away. The address is 700 Central Avenue, Louisville, Ky 40208. Go to churchilldowns.com for more information.

Location was as expected as we knew the area. It’s on a farm and has outdoor space for kids to run around. The basement has the air hockey and billiards, but the pictures appeared it was more finished. House was accommodating and had enough space for the time we were not visiting family. The house had a sulfur smell that was a bit overwhelming when entering each time. Overall was fine and as expected for a farm house.

Another amazing property to get away from the hustle of everyday life. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting that this property is on. The house may look small but with the game room in the basement and large yard in the back there was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. The house had everything we needed to enjoy our time in Kentucky. Thank you for an amazing place to stay!

This cozy little house in the hills of Kentucky sits far from the road on a horse farm. The fire pit area was our favorite place to relax. So peaceful! There is a flower garden and for a small fee you can pick a beautiful bouquet. The countyside is gorgeous and the serenity is pure bliss. 5⭐️

The house was cozy and comfortable and the backyard was like a scene from Bambi with all the birds and wildlife. Would definitely stay again.
