About this house rental
Summary:
Relax in the hot tub and enjoy what is arguably the best view in the community. Large TV's available for you to watch after a day at the lake, or at the pool, or coming back from the bourbon trail. The main area has a great room with propane fireplace, living, dining and kitchen.
The Space:
Relax in the hot tub and enjoy what is arguably the best view in the community. There is a big screen tv in the master bedroom for you to watch after a day at the lake, or at the pool, or coming back from the bourbon trail.
This property is managed by a local management company.We work directly with the owners to make your stay relaxing and fun. When you need questions answered you will be talking with Suzanne Jones , who will work tirelessly to answer all your questions.after your Reservation is confirmed we have an additional renters agreement that will direct you sign via our software Guesty . You will sign that promptly. With in that same time frame a message will be sent you from Lynx, you will input your most current information and 3 days before check in you will receive your check in code.
The cottage is located on the top of the hill which overlooks the lake. There are access trails that the resort maintains and we have markers to indicate where to hike. Please bring bug spray during the summer! If you wish to walk to the lake for beach access Taylorsville does not provide that . Taylorsville Lake is a boating and fishing lake, not a swimming lake. You can walk to Taylorsville Lake Marina (taylorsvillelakemarina.com) to the Resort but it is better to drive. You can also visit the state park that is a short 10 minute drive .Visit https://www.stateparks.com/taylorsville_lake_state_park_in_kentucky.html to see all that the state park has to offer.
Our guests have access to all that Edgewater Resort has to offer, including the resort clubhouse by way of reservation, pool in season, children's play area, basketball hoop, volleyball court, shared fire pits by the playground, greenery and lake access.
Because we are located a little outside of town, the major grocery chains are about a 25 minute drive away.However town does have a wonderful grocery store ,pharmacy, auto store, hardware store and many smaller convenience stores like Dollar General.
Louisville is located about 45 mins away. Just type in Edgewater Resort or Taylorsville lake as your start point and enter your destination and it will give you very accurate information.

At this time we offer our lowest prices so we are not able to extend additional discounts.
We offer smart T.V.s with Amazon Prime Access and WIFI. Please bring your accounts and passwords for anything extra you wish to access.The wifi can be spotty as we are located in a semi-rural area.
We have a small charcoal grill located out in back of the cottage off the steps on the porch.We do not supply provisions for this so feel free to bring your own.
There is no smoking in this house but you are welcome to do it outside away from the cottage and dispose of the waste properly.
Late check outs or early check-ins will be decided on a case by case basis and need to be approved by Suzanne. 3 pm is our goal to get you into the cottage but sometime some things are beyond our control and cause us to run late, please understand we are doing everything we can for a check in at 3pm . This is the exception and not the rule.
We supply towels, linens.We do not supply towels for use outdoors such as for the hot tubs and pool. Please bring your own.We also supply a couple days stay worth of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, dish rags, cleaner, laundry detergent and trash bags. Please bring more of these supplies if you think you may need them.
The fire place the house is only usable in winter months. We turn them off for the season come the first day of spring.
We accept animals at the cottage with a 100 Fee and some restrictions, please see agreement for more information.
If you are bringing a boat please note that you may not drive it past the gate. There are a couple of outlets to charge your boats up by the welcome office if you need them. The outlets are first come first serve basis but we have never heard of anyone having a problem using them.
As mentioned above the bugs are plentiful. The grounds are sprayed and we treat the cottage inside and out. Please take note we are in a rural setting and we are settled close to a lake. We can not control the flying bugs, we do our best to treat and keep the pests away.Sometime we experience high volumes and sometime we have hardly any.Please be aware and bring bug spray.
Guest Access:
Pool and playground a short drive down the road is available for guests.
The Neighborhood:
You are coming to a secluded resort. There will we be many chances to catch glimpses of wildlife and enjoy the beautiful sounds of nature.
Getting Around:
This resort is off the main road that takes you into Taylorsville. If you need to park a boat or large recreational vehicle there is a large lot before the resort that you can utilize.
Interaction with Guests:
I won't be available in person but we have security on site and other handy helpers that we can get you in touch with should something need immediate attention.

Three of my closest friends came out to Kentucky to enjoy the bourbon trail and have a relaxing time away from the kids for a weekend. We are all over 40 and wanted to enjoy the countryside, watch football, and relax after walking the trails all day! This little rental had high reviews so I booked it. It was close to the lake with a hot tub and enough space for all of us. But upon closer inspection we had issues.
The house was dirty, like it hadn’t been cleaned before we got there let alone in weeks. There were cobwebs on all the light fixtures. The hallway toilet was really hard to flush. The kitchen sink water didn’t get hot. On the front porch the rope lights were all falling down and we almost tripped on them carrying our luggage in. The windows all had BUGS caked on the edges and on the glass. You couldn’t open any windows without a spider web being right in your face. The sliding doors from the master to the deck was nothing but spider webs and bugs caked all over the doors. The deck was another story all together, the amount of bugs and spider webs out there was something from a haunted house! We tried to clear some of them out to use the hot tub but it wasn’t for the feint of heart. At night the bugs were insane and the owner left nothing to combat them…not even a fly swatter. I contacted the owner but got no response. We wanted desperately to use the hot tub but with the swarm of bugs that was impossible,then they got in the house and we had no way to get them out
