The property was clean and cute. There are a number of restaurants and cafes very close by. However, we found the walking distance to the Ribeira and river to be more like 35 minutes. We did feel safe in our area and walking around. The communication was lacking from the host. I had to contact the host the day of arrival and get the code for the lockbox to enter the home (he responded quickly). I was also never contacted and given the wifi information, or checkout instructions. If you are driving, parking is an issue. Because we could not quite tell if parking was allowed on the street, (it appeared it was allowed for certain hours) we had to use the parking garage about a 5 minute walk away. The cost was 20Euros for 24 hours, this became pricey for a 3 night stay.

The property is very nice and well set up - very comfortable. The area is fairly quiet. The property is a 25 minute walk from the centre which is fine except coming back is all uphill. We enjoyed our stay in Porto very much.

We had a very nice week at the apartment. While it wasn't in the heart of the old quarter, it was close to a metro stop and not too far walking to all the sights. We enjoyed having two bedrooms and two bathrooms for the family. And the beds were insanely comfortable -- the most comfortable ones we've slept on in all of our time traveling Europe this year. There's no oven, so don't plan on cooking much... but luckily there's plenty of food options all around.
