HOTEL JJH - newly opened near BUGIS

Upon checking in, I was told that payment have to be made only by using card. In my hand only had cash with me.. So the reception on duty, Ms Kala informed me payment have to be made using card, So I ask her any deposit machine around the area so I can deposit cash in my card. She mention its too far. With her great help, she offered to help me settle the issue.. Thanks to Ms Kala to help me out by making my check in smoothly and appreciate her help. AWESOME Staff u have.👍

The room looks so nice with the bed style like a Japanese version. What I don't like is the window binder as its can be transparent but need to adjusted balance so can't see outside. And the flooring in room 105, beside the bed have a crack till had a small cut under my foot. And there is storage area which is under the hanging clothes area, had a dropping of dry wood termites. Bt I don't see any active termites but only seen dropping of termites. So ur hskp need to see around the room when cleaning up. Too bad didn't managed to take photos of inside the cabinet. Overall, I had a great stay over there.

The hotel is well situated to discover the neighbourhood, which had plenty to offer and seems to be a place where a lot of local and international tourist will get the real taste of the old Singapore. Plenty of restaurant for all budgets and taste. The rooms have everything needed but the size of a match box, ideal for 1 or 2 days stay at least for my room.

The check-in is all done through a digital app at the entrance of the hotel. I had over 19 hours flight behind me and did find it a little frustrating to go through this process when you just want to be handled over the key to your room and get some rest but, I think if I was less tired, this would not be an issue:))

self check in and the staff did not help much. The hotel expect travellers to know how to self check in with mobile phone. A bit of hassle to check in at first and luckily the hotel carer happened to be there and helped me checking in. Otherwise I could not get in.

The space is small. But near to bugis central there. So quite convenient.

The socket a bit out I'm worried about the safety. The Filipino lady staff who just sitting there when we check in, asking us to follow instructions over the phone for self check in - which is unpleasant. Otherwise the Chinese uncle who standby during night and when we check out the Indian lady are helpful. Things to be improve, the toothpaste in the package and the shampoo supplied is really thin and very very little. Can provide slight more in amount or thicker in amount of shampoo and toothpaste? It's not sufficient and not convenient.
