The apartment is a large single room plus shower-room. Access is via an external staircase. We had all the equipment required for self-catering. The cooker is a two-ring table top type. Carrapateira is within easy walking distance. There is a small grocery shop with all the essentials. We enjoyed a meal at the Microbar and a pizza at the vegan pizza house near the shop. The Microbar serves excellent coffee and cakes. The highlight of our visit was the cliff top walk to Pria do Amado where we saw the magnificent display of wild flowers at the time of our visit (late May). We also walked on Pria da Borderia, sunbathed etc. The sea was too cold and rather rough for swimming but there were many surfers.
