Bedrooms were small, pleased there was just the 2 of us. The parking was terrible, in a garage but our car didn’t fit in as doors had to be closed. Had to fine alternative parking which would be very hard in summer months.

Short Break in Seahouses

The location of the accommodation for the centre of Seahouses and the harbour was fantastic. The fact that the accommodation came with a garage was even better as parking in Seahouses can be sparse unless you use one of the main carparks. The property also had a view of the harbour, which was nice to have a sea view where you could see boats coming towards the harbour from the Farne Islands The property was very clean, well equipped, a good size and very comfortable. Seahouses is a lovely town well situated for exploring the Northumbria coast and surrounding area.

The only little negative was there is no parking outside the property and it is on a narrow one way street. So when you first arrive. Need to get the keys for the property to get inside to open the garage to get the car in to unpack and settle in. Unfortunately someone else wanted access to their property at the same time we arrived so I needed to move the car, come back around to get into the garage. This was just bad timing. Didn't have that issue of someone wanting into their property at any other time during our stay.

Great location.

The boathouse had a fab location, ideal for visiting sea houses. Just around the corner from The Swallows, Fishmonger. Beds comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped.

Shower is absolutely hopeless. It leaks on the floor, because the seal is no good. There is no power in it. The carpets in the lounge are heavily stained and were dirty. This was the first thing that I noticed on arrival, also the kitchen table was sticky, hence we did not eat off it. The bathroom smelt heavily of urine. The property needs a good, thorough clean. For the price we paid, I do not feel it was value for money.

The Boathouse is the most perfect home from home to explore the Northumberland coast. We can’t wait to come back!

Wow! We can’t fault the Boathouse. It had everything and more for our little family. Garage parking was a super addition to load up the car with kids and belongings out of the rain. It had everything we needed for the children, even lovely story books for bed time reading. Lovely amount of towels and cleaning items. The beds were comfy and the living area was perfect and we loved the little window to spot the sea from while we relaxed. The decor is fab and lots of attention to detail was made to keep the theme of being a boathouse. The artwork is beautiful. A perfect base for our family adventures, we loved it so much we booked it again for the summer.

If I was being super picky! The shower isn’t great, a little slow flowing and had to bend my head back to get in but the bath is brilliant for the kids!

A beautiful property in a perfect location

A lovely apartment, beautifully decorated, very comfortable. A bottle of wine was waiting for us and there was a handy pint of milk in the fridge. The harbour, pier, shops and pubs were so close. The coastal path, boat tours to the Farne Islands and the beach walk to Banburgh castle were all a short walk away. Fully equipped kitchen, huge fridge/freezer, big telly, comfy sofas. Plenty of places to store our clothes and belongings. Soft bedding and towels. Secure garage. A wonderful base for exploring Northumberland! I've recommended The Boathouse to a few friends.

Only a couple of little things that didn't affect our stay. We had to use a little bowl to catch water when we showered because a puddle appeared on the floor after each one, and the mattress was softer than I'm used to!

Close To Harbour

Great location, with comfortable and well thought out accommodation. Generally, it is a great property to stay in, particularly so close to the harbour and, of course, The Swallows Fishmongers!

On face value, minor issues, but they are culmulative: - the loo flush only worked properly if is was FULL (which took ages) - limited 'welcome pack', notably no pepper in the pepper pot - the adjoining property development had loose material flapping in the wind - not owner's fault but it was noisy at night - on first night, we returned to find the Little Boathouse had parked their car in the garage (resolved later)

Absolutely magical

The Boathouse was so cosy and warm for our Xmas break. Lots of character and charm, cannot fault it at all and so close to the village and harbour.

The parking is tricky, it wasn’t very clean and the shower is awful and needs updating.

Dripping taps in the bathroom sink. Didn't detract but wasteful of water. TV didn't respond well to the remote control.
