We loved the size, decor and location of the cottage.
The hot water system leaves a little to be desired. Not even enough to run a bath despite having a bath in the bathroom.
Also the electric heating is not sufficient for winter. Yes there’s a log burner, however the door does not seal properly when closed and burns through logs like paper.

Lovely cottage, far bigger than expected and with good facilities and fantastic quiet location.
Very cold ! And struggled to understand the electric heaters. Used additional duvets Instead!. I personally appreciated the feather pillows but the other guest is allergic to down and there were no hypoallergenic pillow options.

Comfortable and well equipped for self catering. Location good for access to harbour, restaurants and shops within walking distance
Parking was tight despite there being designated parking turning at the dead end was very tight when other cars parked in vicinity.

We had a fantastic stay, the cottage is a home away from home it's so well equipped. Beautifully designed, well located and cosy. We love visiting Seahouses and this cottage is the perfect retreat. Highly recommended.
It wasn't available for longer!

Spacious and comfortable. Warm and well equipped. Great shower, lovely clean bedding and towels.
The house is pet friendly and the downstairs did smell of dogs when I arrived. I used some air freshener every day and it was much better by the end of my stay. Ideally the windows should be opened, but obviously when you are on holiday you are out all day.

Perfect location, beds were very comfortable, house was at a lovely standard and you can see from past reviews that they have taken feedback on board i.e. one review mentioned occasional coffee tables, which they now have. We enjoyed Alnwick Gardens/lildorei, crazy golf and Billy Shiels boat trip whilst staying in Seahouses. My 6 year old was very sad to leave. Thank you for a great time.
We ran out of hot water not knowing it was ran on a hot water tank. There wasn’t any information about this in the guest book, which would have been useful. However this didn’t ruin our stay, and it was hot by the next morning.

The location of the property is good
We had a number of issues during our stay but just to highlight the main concerns; parking only for one car, narrow access, blocked in a few times by neighbouring properties although our parking spot was clearly sign posted. Our major grievance with this stay is that we came back after a morning out to find workmen in the property, had accessed the key using the lock box and were carrying out drainage works to the property. We had not been at all informed of this. After the workmen had finished, the kitchen tap was left leaky after they attached a hose, which lead through the window to their water containers. We did complain to coast and country, they offered us a 1 night stay refund on our stay. We did highlight that for the duration of our stay we were uneasy knowing others could access the property at anytime and this breeched our privacy and security, this was not acknowledged to be an important issue by the company and they felt that a 1 night stay refund was adequate for this intrusion. The cleanliness of the property needs improving, we were greeted with long spider webs in the bathroom space which had been overlooked - we cleaned these ourselves as the children are scared of spiders.

Everything was lovely and the location was great.
Parking was tricky got blocked in but can’t be helped because of location. Late check in time of 5pm when it is previously advertised with a different agent at check in at 3 pm

Good location, good sized rooms
In need of some TLC - paint coming off exterior walls and porch walls - problem with the bathroom plumbing - wh n you flushed the toilet water came up the bath plug hole. When you emptied the bath, the water in the toilet bubbled and glugged. There was a smell of drains in the under sink cupboard in the kitchen. Reported to coast and country who sent a man out promptly but the problem persisted.

Booked a last-minute one night break.
We had an amazing time. The weather was good, which was a bonus.
The location was fab, and the cottage was just perfect.
We will definitely be back and stay for longer.
Wished we could have stay longer.

Ease of access.
Could only enter the property at 1700, which is extremely late in the day. It was pitch black and we had an elderly relative who struggled on shingle entrance.

We were pleasantly surprised when arriving at the cottage as it has been updated so looks different to the photos. The beds were so comfortable I struggled to get out of them in the morning and the whole place had such a cosy, relaxed feel to it. We will definitely be returning
Nothing much to dislike.

Great location
Bit unclean. Could have provided more essentials-e.g. only 1 toilet roll.

Good location, good size
Not enough kitchen equipment, no cleaning equipment, smelt a bit ‘doggy’ downstairs

Nice fixtures and fittings. Comfy beds. Location was good for walking into Seahouses. Parking permit was a must due to restrictions at the cottage. Responsive local reps acted quickly when contacted.
Parking facilities were poor and the web advert was misleading as signage has changed since we booked. A better welcome pack would have been appreciated.

Good location and spacious
Stayed Mon - Fri and had no hot water until Thurs morning. Kitchen tap dripping for the duration of the holiday (we reported it on first day). Bathroom extractor fan not working, toilet seat loose and 1 bulb out. No bulb in fitting outside bathroom door. Very narrow landing at the top of the stairs, no mention of a safety gate but we found 1 in the wardrobe. Not enough towels on arrival. Parking is a big issue as the road is very narrow with no allocated parking space. There is a car park nearby but the parking permit expired in October 2022!

The cottage is nicely furnished with rustic style. The location is very nice in quiet part of Seahouses. Parking is not easy but doable.
Our main objection was that it was not properly cleaned before our check in. E.g., we had to clean hot tub and dining table before use.
And yet in instructions we were asked to do lot of things before check out.

Fantastic location in the heart of Seahouses. Two public houses at the end of the street and the main street and harbor less than 5 minutes walk. The property was great, nice and cosy with plenty of utensils and appliances. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were really comfy.
My only gripe was the shower, not great water pressure with the shower head was loose on the shower frame meaning it kept sliding down to waist height, so couldn't really stand under it without holding it up.

Location was excellent. Facilities in the house were excellent. All the information was good.
Parking the car it was difficult turning around and getting in and out of the road.
Also there was no instructions for the log burner as stated on the information note

Very comfortable cottage with all that was needed with comfortable beds. A few minutes walk to the sea & town. Lovely break. Thank you.

Everything was as described on the web site. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable lounge and bed rooms.. well situated for access to shops and restaurants.
Parking is difficult as only room for 1 car and no room to turn around. Its reverse out all the way up the street.

Great location
Car parking was an issue, the property is at the end of a narrow lane where everybody should park on one side, but on more than one occasion we were blocked in by people double parking, resulting in us banging on doors asking the offender move their car. It shouldn't have been necessary.

Lovely cottage in a great location very close to all the local amenities and the harbour. The cottage is spacious, we were a family of 5, is comfortable and very well equipped, with plenty of crockery and cutlery. It has been sensitively refurbished and well decorated. The beds are very comfortable. Although parking space is at a premium in the area we were able to park 2 cars outside the cottage, you just have to be sensitive to others needs particularly the residents. The parking permit for the local car parks is a very nice touch, thank you. We had a lovely relaxing family holiday.
In need of a little TLC in places but understandable as holiday cottages must get some excessive wear and tear.

Location, nice big rooms, convenient for walking to coastal paths.
A few minor things need fixing, or adding to kitchen equipment, but none of these impacted on our stay.
10.0 / 10.0
Cottage is lovely and cosy and close to the centre, couple of minutes walk to the harbour. It was well furnished and had all kitchen equipment including dishwasher and washer. We did manage to park two cars outside.
The only thing that really needs improving is parking facilities but then we did have two cars and we did get them parked outside the cottage so all was good.
