Waterhead Retreat

Excellent property. Very modern and spacious which I wasn’t expecting from the photos! Little touches make this place really special (a big selection of very organised toys and books, taxi card, tea, coffee, cooking oil and children’s plastic cups and plates, as well as a cleaning pack, and large umbrella!). A real home away from home.

The only downside was a couple of maintenance points (lifts out of order and not raised via email ahead of the trip). Some of the kitchen drawer closure mechanisms are faulty which poses a small health and safety risk. These are minor points only. Also there’s discrepancy of communications from booking.com and Sykes and the instructions inside the property (regarding damage deposits, key drop off). But this is a management issue, not a property issue
