Everything here was fantastic! The mansion itself was stunning, and even the Carriage House had its own bit of charm. One thing that I would love to say to the property owners, is that the shower in the Equestrian Suite did not have functioning hot water. Not sure if the hot water was shut off, or what. Please look into it! Other than that, our stay was fantastic!

The access code for the outside door was not clearly stated in the material sent (unclear if the access code was supposed to open both outer door or room door)
We had to access customer support and they were VERY kind and extremely patient.
Make sure you leave time in the am for the little breakfast with pastries and coffee.
Other guests were quiet and almost reverent of the beautiful space. The decor was charming!

Loved loved loved our 2-night stay at The Cotton Mansion. The house is incredible. The attention to detail in each of the common rooms is stunning. We also loved listening to the audio tour that shares details about the Cotton family, the rooms in the house, and the history of the property. I highly recommend taking the time to take the self-guided tour.
We stayed in the Aquitania Suite which was on the third floor in the back. The room was cozy, comfortable, and quiet. While it was on the smaller side, the common areas more than made up for it. We enjoyed lounging in the library and the sunroom. We really felt like we were staying in someone's home, not a hotel. The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood but it's a very short drive to Canal Park and other places in Duluth.
I would not hesitate to stay here again, as I want to experience one of the other guest rooms!
