About this villa rental
The Meer-chenhaus on the Baltic Sea
is a small villa (185 square meters) built in 1920 and located within walking distance of the Baltic Sea (approx. 1,100 meters). We purchased it in the summer of 2022 and renovated it through May 2023, transforming it into a beautiful vacation home for our guests. We also have two other very nice vacation homes: the Georg Asmussen House in Pommerby, which has four vacation apartments, and a smaller one in Maasholm Bad.
Please note: This vacation home is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
The security deposit is 200 euros, which will be refunded no later than 14 days after departure, following the return of the vacation home in accordance with the contract and after deduction of energy costs. Bedding is included; towels and sauna towels can be booked for an additional fee.
Vacation and the Sea—the Meerchenhaus:
This vacation home features a sauna room (with a partial view of the Baltic Sea) and a stunning sunroom. The sunroom alone would be vacation enough, as it’s a wonderful place to relax and let your gaze wander over the vast landscape.
In addition to the sunroom on the first floor, it features a beautiful solid-wood kitchen with a dining table and access to the garden. It also features a living room (2 sofas, Smart TV, and a fireplace), a second living room or reading room with a bookcase, a sleeper sofa, and an armchair, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a guest restroom, a pantry, and an utility room with a washer and dryer.
On the upper floor, you’ll find three bedrooms, a small but very nice shower, a toilet, and a sauna room.
On the first floor, the floors are either terrazzo, wood, or antique tile; upstairs, the flooring is wood throughout.
You can also relax on lounge chairs or garden furniture in the garden, which is completely secluded and sheltered by tall hedges. The fruit trees provide shade as needed. In the garden, you’ll find a patio, a garden shed, and a small trickling fountain.
There’s plenty of space in the front yard for your cars and in the garage for your bicycles. Bed linens are included; towels and sauna towels can be booked for an additional fee.
Check-in is available from 4:00 PM to midnight, and check-out from midnight to 10:00 AM.
