Great location on the river. Perfect place to stay for a fishing get away; or enjoy a river float. Sandstone Falls is 5 miles away (a must see). This place is located 2 miles from the town of Hinton.

My wife and I came to the area to spend time in New River Gorge National Park. We enjoyed the house due to its central location, cleanliness, and easy layout. The house is a great location to get to Sandstone Falls (about 4 miles) and Sandstone and Grandview Visitor Center. The Thurmond Historic District and Canyon Rim Visitor Center are a bit farther away, but easily accessible for day activities and hikes. They Kaymor Mine site is especially awesome.We also went into to Exhibition Mine Park owned and operated by the City of Beckley. If you want to have a well told story of mine life in WV over the years, this is it.Hinton is fun to walk around, and has a few restaurants. Two grocery stores are nearby as well.We didn't spend anytime in the water, but there are a number of outfitters up and down the gorge in case you want to raft, kayak, tube, etc.It was a beautiful location to enjoy the area.

The house was very clean, nicely decorated, and the amenities were awesome. There were linens, dishes, cookware, games and more. The coffee bar was perfect. Will definitely rent again.
