About this house rental

Old Cape Cod, built in 1950, now with a face lift. Short distance to Concord U., Athens, short distance to Princeton, shopping, Pipestem State Park. trails, waterfalls and I-77. Also Winterplace Ski Resort, and other places for those who have outdoor interest, including Mountain Lake Resort, where Dirty Dancing was filmed, coal mine tours and Tamarack filled with arts and crafts by WV artist. Greenbrier Hotel Resort and beautiful sunsets.

The host, Anita, is so sweet. She brought us welcoming treat. I love the stories all over the walls and the little interesting bits about the 50's everywhere. The place is beautiful. We even had a visit from an adorable little trash panda as well as some kitties to hangout with.

We had a lovely stay. Anita left snacks and drinks and everthing was adorable! The property was exactly as shown. We wish that we had more time to stay and relax. I’m certain we will be back!

The house is a great place to stay and Anita is a wonderful host. The decoration is very pleasing and sparks interest in the 50s.

Decent place to stay if you’re passing through and only need a place to lay your head, which is what we were doing. It wasn’t a great fit for our family of 6.A few things not mentioned: •upstairs (where our kids slept) is cooled by window fan units •there are cats that come to the back porch- cat allergies aren’t an issue for us but I can see that being a problem for others if they wanted to enjoy the deck area. We didn’t go out there either wayA few things to improve:•bathroom doorways stick and have to be pushed hard to open•grass needed cut
