About this house rental
Children and adults are thrilled to sit on the deck and watch the trains go by. There is a railroad crossing at the bottom of the hill and you will hear train whistles throughout the day and night, which may be loud and disruptive. Across the road and the railroad tracks is the beautiful Greenbrier River, great for fishing, tubing and swimming. There is public access for launching your boat, canoe, raft or kayak within walking distance from the house. Enjoy John Henry Days in July and watch the parade from the wraparound deck as it makes its turn.
It is a short 15-30 minute drive to Pipestem State Park and Bluestone Lake and State Park and Greenbrier State Park to the east. Stay here and visit the historic Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, a short drive away. Play golf where the pros play at several other area golf courses. Attend the West Virginia State Fair in August.
This area is good for all seasons. Watch the West Virginia Hills change from lush green to glorious shades of red and gold in the Fall. Short 35 minute drive to Winterplace and 1 1/2 hour drive to Snowshoe Mountain for skiers and snowboarders. Celebrate holidays with friends and family.
