Located canal-front and just a 6-minute walk or 2-minute bicycle ride to the Gulf beach, this Cypress home is found within the prestigious St. George Plantation community and is surrounded by pines and palmettos for the ultimate in privacy and relaxation. Elegantly rustic, Saltwater Charlie’s has a casual and relaxed vibe with an upscale feel.
The open living area is bathed in natural light w/ water views, 2 leather sofas, recliners and a large, flat screen TV w/ DVD player (sorry, fireplace is not available). A nearby game table is the perfect place for a family boardgame, puzzle or card game and a separate dining table seats up to 6 with additional dining options outside on the covered deck.
The beautifully updated gourmet kitchen boasts granite counters, tile backsplash, gas range and one-of-a-kind Cypress cabinets. Stainless steel appliances, a dedicated food pantry and a separate desk area complete this space, all with a gorgeous canal view! A full-size washer/dryer and utility room are located just past the kitchen and the breakfast bar seats up to 3.
The furnished and screened-in porch just off of the kitchen features comfortable lounge seating and a large, daybed swing for those lazy afternoons.
Just past the kitchen, two guest bedrooms (King and Queen bedroom) share a hall bathroom with combination tub/shower, and quick and easy access to a convenient elevator (the elevator travels between the ground level and the 1st floor only).
The top floor spacious Master Suite features ocean-hued stained-glass windows, a King-sized bed, large walk-in closet and private bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. A furnished and covered private balcony offers grand views of the Apalachicola Bay and is a great spot to enjoy the sunset.
Your private screened pool is surrounded by natural vegetation for a tranquil swim and the covered carport offers plenty of shaded space to entertain with picnic table, propane grill and fish cleaning sink. A hot/cold outdoor shower w/ waterfall showerhead makes beach or pool cleanup a breeze. (PLEASE NOTE: Pool heat is not available; spill-over spa is not heated/jetted.)
Located on a canal that empties into the Apalachicola Bay, you can launch your kayak or SUP board directly from your own private dock to explore the nearby marsh and Bay waters. Flats boats with low draft requirements are also suitable at this location.
As a guest staying inside the St. George Plantation community, you can enjoy miles of bike paths, walking trails, access to fishing at Bob Sike’s Cut, and being minutes from the serene Gulf beach. The nearby St. George Plantation Clubhouse offers a community lap pool, fitness center, and tennis court. Additional amenities within the Plantation include three dedicated pickle ball courts on Sea Pine, a beautifully designed full-size pool at Resort Village, and a second tennis court located off Leisure Lane and Pelican Court.
Now accepting up to 2 small, well behaved dogs under 30lbs for a $200.00 pet fee. All pets must be pre-approved.

We loved this home, and the peaceful, private location. We spent lots of time with our kids in the pool, enjoyed coffee on the screened-in deck each morning, walked to the beach, and launched our kayaks off of the dock. We were also happy to have both the weight room and large, clubhouse pool available. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the house was clean. Loved everything about our stay!

Our stay at Saltwater Charlie's was perfect! The quiet and solitude made for the most relaxing beach house vacation; between star-watching on the dock, drinks by the pool, board games in the evenings, and walks on the beach we really made the most of the everything the house had to offer. Would be a great stay for families or some couples. Make sure to look for the Milky Way at night from the dock!
