About this cottage rental

Bursting with character, this newly renovated ground floor apartment is nestled within a traditional Victorian townhouse, right in the heart of St Andrews.

Entering off Murray Park, you are welcomed by its bright and spacious hall, with room to keep golf clubs. The large utility cupboard off the hall houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

At the end of the hall, the property opens into its impressive extension, with vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. The open plan kitchen, living and diner has been finished to the highest of standards, with high end appliances including a hot water tap.
The bi-folding doors open in their entirety on to its private patio space to the rear, equipped with an outdoor dining area and benches, to enjoy the St Andrews Sea air.

Offering flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 4 guests, both bedrooms come equipped with brand new plush beds, and black out shutters, to ensure a good night's sleep.

The master bedroom can be made into a super king or two single beds, and boasts a modern bathroom suite, including a large walk-in shower, separate bathtub and Romeo and Juliet sinks.

There is a further bedroom, equipped with a double bed, and a master shower room located just off the hall.

Property was clean and well appointed. The location was A+ and walking distance to the Old Course and central St Andrews. Street parking was never a problem. The management company was accessible and very responsive to requests. On our first day, we found the shower door in the second bathroom did not stay closed making taking a shower a problem. Also, the internet coverage in the unit was limited to the den and kitchen area. Also, the showers did not drain satisfactorily. We called the management office and in one day, Saturday, a man came over and fixed the door and cleared the shower drains. He supplied dish and dishwasher soap that was missing in the unit. He was sensitive to the internet coverage problem. He supplied a long chord and moved the router around the found the position that provided minimal, but satisfactory internet coverage in the bedrooms. The new location of the router was atop the kitchen trash can. Somewhat clumsy when you had to dispose of trash, but it worked. What is needed in the unit is an internet extender. Also be advised, you must supply your own laundry detergent. Also, major construction is occurring in the building next door. Not really an issue since construction is limited to daylight hours during the week. All in all we were quite satisfied with our stay and would return.
