Birdsong Cottage

Such a wonderful spot. Perfect for rejuvenation and getting back my creative spark. LOVED being among the birds....

I can't say there was anything I didn't like.

Beautifully positioned cottage with lovely views, surrounds, and care at every level. Warmly met by the host and sparked up a fantastic conversation about native birds and bats. It truly is a plus plus if you love nature. Rooms very comfortable, spacious and relaxing. Bed is like heaven! Fantastic shower room and great heating (if needed). Instructions were clear and every effort was made to make my (too short) stay, pleasant. A place ypu would return to.

That I didn't stay longer.

The owners were both lovely people , picked me up from the bus stop.The cottage was immaculate and clean, very relaxing. As the name says birdsong cottage is filled with the bird sounds. You can sit on the verandah and listen to the birds singing and actually view beautiful Tūī’s in a tree close by. The bed was so comfortable and the a lovely touch of some cheese and crackers and a chocolate by the bed. If you want to be in a quiet relaxing place . This is for you. I will definitely return to this little piece of paradise!!

I liked everything

Lovely setting in a beautiful garden and bush with plenty of birds and tuis that come to feed. Wonderful character home with all the modern facilities and our host Susan was very accommodating and flexible as we were here during several days of heavy wind and rain which saw all ferries canceled for a few days. Hope we can come back again in the future !
