Welcome to “Grietjes-Huus” on Borkum
Just a few minutes’ walk from the train station and the North Beach, two lovingly furnished vacation apartments await you in a quiet, sunny south-facing location at Hindenburgstraße 94a. Our house is set back a block—a real plus for anyone who values relaxation and expansive views: Enjoy the unobstructed view across the Binnenwiese all the way to the quintessential Borkum “skyline” with its distinctive church spires and lighthouses.
The “Grietjes-Huus” has been modernized with great care and regularly renovated in recent years. New windows and a freshly redesigned facade create a bright, friendly atmosphere and a well-maintained appearance throughout.
The ground-floor apartment “Glaashuus,” located in the basement, delights guests with its cozy sunroom and direct access to the terrace and garden—a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
For added convenience, a washing machine, dryer, and sauna are available in the modern annex (for a small fee).
During your stay, you’ll be warmly looked after by Mr. and Mrs. Kuck, who also live in the house and are always happy to provide tips and assistance regarding your vacation on Borkum.
Of course, free Wi-Fi is available. To ensure an allergy-friendly environment, pets and smoking are not permitted in the apartments.
In 2024, the “Grietjes-Huus” was once again awarded a **** rating by the DTV classification—a mark of certified quality and high comfort.
The bright sunroom inspired the name of the “Glaashuus” apartment. We warmly welcome up to 2 guests here. Spanning approximately 50 square meters, the apartment features a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living area in the sunroom. Direct access to the garden and the atmosphere created by the sunroom are the highlights. The apartment’s amenities leave nothing to be desired:
Kitchen with dining table (electric stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, etc.), sunroom with dining table, sofa, and flat-screen TV, 1 bathroom with shower.
A terrace invites you to relax on warmer days. You can also enjoy beach life from around Easter through the fall in a beach chair reserved just for you on the North Beach.
