SUNSET HOUSE

•The Amphitrite Compound is situated in Saronida, an area of Anavissos named Mavro Lithari, on the Saronikos coast of Athens.
•It is within the 20 km coast from Lagonissi to Cape Sounion, known as the “Riviera of Attica”, with its many beaches, coves, and bays, some of which offer sea sports, others have picturesque local restaurants and others, less popular, allow for a solitary swim.
•It is 47 km from downtown Athens, 35 km from the international airport Eleftherios Venizelos, and 20 km from the renowned Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounion.
•Its location is ideal for seaside vacations combined with site seeing of the outstanding monuments of Hellenic culture such as the Acropolis, Cape Sounion, as well as the museums and galleries of downtown Athens.
•The beaches near the house are considered among the cleanest in the Attica coast. In fact, the 2016 Congress held in Halkidiki-Greece, with the participation of 50 countries, gave the distinction “Blue Flag” to the best beaches of Greece and Mavro Lithari was one of them.
•The compound consists of three rows of individual three-level houses and has the security of a 24-hour reception desk. It also has a swimming pool and surrounded by lush greenery.
•Our house is the A1 in the first row and was fully renovated , offering all the facilities required by a modern house for a comfortable stay.
•All three levels of the house have an unobstructed sea view and are only 150 meters from two nice beaches accessible by foot, plus a few nearby isolated bays.
All beaches near the house are considered among the cleanest in the Attica coast. You can choose between organised beaches with sea sports and cosy beach bars, or nice little coves to swim and lay in the sun. Many little local tavernas, restaurants and cafes are also within easy reach.
It is advisable to rent a car so that you can enjoy your stay.

We stayed at this lovely property for a week. Very spacious over three floors, the kitchen was very well equipped, the best we’ve had in a holiday rental, even the knives were sharp! Also the few bits that had been left, ie coffee, oil, salt, pepper etc were useful and saved us buying immediately. The hill up to the property is quite a climb but as we had a car it wasn’t a problem. Views across the bay and the sunsets are amazing. We used the pool at the hotel as the one at the property is at the back of the building and is also very deep. The staff in the bistro at the bottom of the hill, Me Gusta, are very friendly and they serve delicious food. Beaches nearby were clean and in most cases we didn’t pay for the sun beds. That could of course be because of the time of year. We found the shops in nearby Anavyssos to be well stocked with whatever we needed. A lovely week at a property we can certainly recommend

We stayed for a week at this wonderful property, and wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment is very clean, spacious with everything you need. The property owner was very helpful, even arranging for someone to take us to the grocery store as we did not rent a car. (We used Athens Transfer Services for our shuttles and tourist excursions, highly recommend.) The ocean views from the balconies are wonderful, and the a/c was much appreciated. You are steps away from the ocean with water sports available from the Ever Eden Hotel for a small fee. We also enjoyed utilizing the pool at the Alexander Beach Hotel. Me Gusta restaurant is steps away, with a friendly staff and great food.

We stayed here for ten days in October 2022. Eight people; baby, 2yr old, two teens, parents and grandparents (79yrs old).
Perfect size and layout of the house for our needs; grandparents stayed “alone” on the ground floor, then the living spaces on the first floor, and then three good bedrooms on the second floor.
The house itself is beautifully refurbished and the interiors are very good quality. The kitchen is super well equipped👌🏻, best I have encountered in a rental property.
The views and the sunset from all the front balconies (at all the levels) are amazing. Convenient parking inside secure gate right below the house.
About the location and the area:
- beaches right down from the house, with beach bars etc. not the most baby / young children friendly in terms of access with strollers and not as shallow water as we needed, but great for older kids and adults. We visited other beaches close to the villa (5-15 minutes drive both north and south and you find plenty), and they were great.
- at least one great budget restaurant/ cafe 200m from the house - Me Gusta - can really recommend! Relaxed atmosphere and great food and service.
- Anavyssos town was a cozy place, with nice cafes and restaurants. Not many tourists.
- Please note that it is a short but steep walk from the house to the sea. In general you would clearly need a car to stay here, for shopping grocery e.g.
In total we had a great stay at this house, and all communication, questions and requests (such as baby cot and chair) were met right away.
