I so fortunate to have stayed 4 nights 5 days! This is an experience for those in search of an authentic Fijian experience! Ratu Kini is located in the heart of a small Fijian community which together with Ratu’s staff make your staying very cozy and welcome ! You really get to know their culture by spending time with them, they open their arms and heart to you ! As u can see in my pics, their Guide took me snorkeling to the islands best spot and generously introduced me to eating a dry coconut unforgettable experience for a minimum fee. From Mary the amazing chef to all of the staff lead by Veronika the manager I will always be grateful for enriching my experience at Ratu Kini !

The food was delicious, the place was great, the people were amazing. You don't have to buy food from them but our booking included free breakfast and it was delicious! Our favorite was lolo buns and bummed that we missed our first free breakfast cause we were asleep. Do note there is no cooking area for you, but our room did come with a mini fridge, tea and kettle. There is some mineral build up in the kettle. There is potable water and it is good. The restaurant food is always delicious and worth it though so ate most of our meals there, except for one night. It definitely runs a bit on fiji time, but since you're in vacation the best way to do it is taking things slow. You can really connect with the people. In front of Ratu Kini there is also lots of small stalls from the locals you can buy from. Bring cash for the stalls by the locals but Ratu Kini does accept cash for their meals and activities. They do not sell alcohol but you can head to Mana resort just beside it to buy alcohol. There's a fun walk up the hill to see the survivor location, ask for Jo. He also bakes the tastiest bread and is really amazing! Thank you to everyone, Jo, Nica, Mo, Lora, Orisi (amazing meals!), David, Kotu, Pedro, Oni and more for making our stay really fun and memorable. Definitely worth it. Can't wait to come back!

I was there in January 2026. They had no guests there except me and so no diving, no beer, barely any bottled water (and offered me rain water instead) and were waiting on a boat later that day to see what food it brought. Don’t stay here or the other backpacker’s place next door - it contained one lonely Spaniard who had been there two days as its only guest too! Stay at the Mana Resort, which is pricey and has dominated the island! (No you can’t use its facilities from outside accommodation and pay as you go)
