Great stay

This is a beautiful apartment with a little balcony off the kitchen. The room is spacious and light. Florian was a gracious host and let us leave our bags at the flat on checkout day while we went to explore the Ile Frioul. The flat is centrally located with lots of exciting things just on the doorstep.

Shared accommodation in Marseille.

The host was really friendly and accommodating of our arrival time, and kindly greeted us on arrival. The apartment is situated in a superb location, close to the main streets and a 10-15min walk from the port. The accommodation provides the opportunity to experience living in Marseille.

On arrival, we were surprised to learn that this wasn’t an apartment booked for ourselves, but rather shared accommodation. Nowhere on the booking information stipulates that this is shared accommodation at all which is very misleading. It’s really important that this is understood by visiting parties, as having your own place and sharing someone else’s home are very contrasting, and I feel this needs to be disclosed clearly. Something as simple as ‘Shared bathroom’ would help indicate that you have booked a room and not a whole apartment. Given the host was so friendly and welcoming, we decided to stay. Some of the things others have mentioned in reviews haven’t been remedied - there is no light in the main living room but there is one in the smaller room off the side, the bed isn’t the most comfortable and the bathroom needs refreshing. After my partners shower (10mins at most) the water ran cold. You need to be prepared to climb three flights of steep stairs with your luggage (this wasn’t an issue for us but could be for others). Future visitors ought to be aware of the working ladies on the street. They were no problem at all, but something to be aware of as well as the noise that is generated on the street (not an accommodation issue, but a heads up). Overall, we felt that some changes/updates should be made before others stay here, and better details of the accommodation type provided need to be disclosed to potential guests. Worth every penny.

Florian is an amazing person. He is very sweet and helpful. The house has a very old time charm. Florian's cat is a sweetheart. We love her and we had the best time with her. We are gonna miss her the most. The location of the place is just perfect! Walking distance from the port and good restaurants.

Just disappointment. Worst stay in my life.

The host was friendly at the beginning but only for a short period of time.

The place was not the same as the description on booking.com. 1- It was not possible to CLOSE the bathroom door. It stays open. It is also not possible to lock the door. 2- This is a shared house where the host stays in the other room, so it is a problem when you can't close the bathroom door. 3- The towels are dirty. I don’t know how many times they were used in total. 4- The bathroom is so old, and the walls have dampness, and they are swell. 5- The light in the main living room is not working. You need a phone light in the darkness to go to the bathroom. 6- The street is noisy also there are women working on the street so you don't feel safe when arriving to the place while it is dark. Daylight also doesn't make you feel safe. 7- Most important part: I've shared a part of this feedback with booking.com in the morning of our first night. booking.com shared it with the host right away without compensating me or contacting me. The host kicked us out of the house in the morning. He was very rude.

Disappointing

Location is good, centre and main train station is walking distance

Needs deep cleaning, the living room, the kitchen,the bathroom were too dirty.. we could not use the bathroom and there was no bed, just mattress on the floor. There was a cat living in the house, it was not problem to us but we want to inform you.

L’appartement est hyper mignon et Florian est adorable ! C’est tout proche du cours Julien et à 6min à pied d’une station de métro ! Les chats sont très mignons et rajoutent un charme à l’appartement :)

Le seul petit bémol est l’isolation de la chambre… nous avons été réveillée par des discussions le matin..

Heel erg vuil.. Keuken is nooit opgeruimd, de katten hebben op mijn kleren geplast. Dat was een ongelijk, wij zijn zelf niet zo streng maar ik wil eerlijk kunnen zijn.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Marseille. Florian est très arrangeant, l’appart est fonctionnel et proche de tous commerces. Les deux chats sont très mignons.

Peut être un petit bémol pour le quartier en tant que femmes, il y a beaucoup de mecs lourds.

L'emplacement

L’hôte est sympathique, mais on ne choisit pas un logement uniquement pour ça. J’avais réservé cet appartement pour son emplacement central et les bons avis, mais j’ai été très déçue. Le logement ne correspondait pas aux photos : l’état général était négligé et franchement sale. On a dû nettoyer nous-mêmes le lavabo et la baignoire avant de pouvoir se laver — il y avait encore des poils non nettoyés après rasage. Ce n’est pas acceptable, surtout pour un logement présenté comme cosy. L’hygiène doit être une priorité. Dommage, car l’emplacement est vraiment idéal.

Erträglich, aber kein Vergnügen.

Die Lage war nicht schlecht.

Diese Unterkunft ist eine der unglücklichsten auf der großen Reise. Das Zimmer ist Teil der Wohnung, in der der Eigentümer wohnt. Er war ein sehr netter Mensch, antwortete auf Nachrichten, kam für kurze Zeit im Haus vorbei und mischte sich in keiner Weise ein. Über den Komfort in diesem Haus muss man nicht viel reden, aber zwei Umstände müssen unbedingt erwähnt werden. Aus unbekannten Gründen lässt sich das Gästezimmer nicht abschließen. Es gibt nicht nur keinen Schlüssel, um dieses Privatzimmer beim Spazierengehen abzuschließen, sondern auch keinen einfachen Riegel, um es nachts abzuschließen. Noch überraschender ist ein anderer Umstand. In der Wohnung leben zwei Katzen, die Menschen deutlich vermissen. Katzen sind süß, aber die rote ist furchtbar neugierig. Sie schlüpfte sofort ins Gästezimmer und lief fröhlich über unsere Sachen und unser Bett, bis wir es schafften, sie aus der Tür zu werfen. Auch der Gang zur Toilette/zum Badezimmer ohne sie war fast unmöglich. Es ist überraschend, dass der Eigentümer in der Beschreibung der Wohnung ein so wichtiges Merkmal seines Zuhauses wie die Anwesenheit von Tieren nicht preisgibt.

Florian es educado y muy amable. Nos dio buenas recomendaciones para la ciudad y siempre se ha mostrado dispuesto y contento de ayudarnos con cualquier duda. La estancia fue silenciosa y la casa es preciosa. La gatita es un highlight por lo bonita y cariñosa que es. Hemos estado super a gusto!

No es algo malo per sé, pero hay que tener en cuenta que se trata de un tercer piso y que no hay ascensor, puede ser un impedimento para personas con dificultad motora.

Superbe appartement authentique Marseillais en plein cœur de la ville avec un hôte chaleureux et aux petits soins. Bonus: une petite minette accueillante et câline accompagne le séjour.

Juste ne pas s'arrêter sur l'allure de la rue. Graffitis sur les portes et fréquentations noctures. L'endroit est très bien situé, sécure, l'appartement est topissime et le quartier est très cool.
