Little Glencrest

Superb property which was so peaceful and relaxing also perfectly situated for visiting surrounding areas Everything you could possible require for a self catering holiday was supplied Hot tub private and back garden secluded Hosts went above and beyond for our special occasion We will definitely be back again. Thank you for a wonderful time

It would be hard to find anything we did not like

The little Glencrest was an amazing stay and a perfect little get away for a couple, it was very cosy and very good value for money, we was provided with all appliances and the little touches on arrival which made us feel very welcome.

The only issue for us was the hot tub as it is a log burner hot tub it took a while to heat up but once it was it was lovely and relaxing in the garden

The cottage was wonderfully relaxing and there was everything that we needed, including some lovely little extras like drinks and snacks, including treats for the dog too! Everything was very clean and comfy and the underfloor heating made it lovely and warm. We really enjoyed our stay!!

The hot tub initially took 9 hours to heat up which wasn't ideal but once it was warm it was wonderful!

Thoroughly enjoyed our four-day stay in this superbly renovated milking parlour. Great location if you're looking for peace and quiet in a rural setting but with good access via car for days out. Decorated with the minimalist in mind which greatly added to the calm of the place. The enclosed back garden is ideal for checking out the night skies due to the lack of light pollution so a must for any stargazer. I saw a shooting star within minutes of checking out the night sky through the patio doors. My daughter originally booked this cottage for a few days away with her partner and, I later found out, their dog but a new job meant they couldn't go so we went instead. I wouldn't stay in a place that accepted dogs but there was no trace that any pet had been there previously. You are only an hour or so away from historic York, Whitby, Newcastle and only forty minutes away from Durham with it's splendid cathedral. The owners of the property have also left a box containing many leaflets on places around and about to visit. Definitely worth a look through. Pretty much everything has been thought of in this delightful cottage.
