Peaceful location, friendly hosts with good recommendations

It was very noisy when it rained or the squirrels ran across the roof - think roof I think. No view from rooms due to position and very small windows

Amazing property in a location that made us feel we were in the Mediterranean not Dorset. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, light and airy with everything you need for self-catering. Loved the hamper of local produce, bread, butter, jam and biscuits. Full set of towels provided with dressing gowns too. Easy to find off the A35, very quiet location nestled behind a hill, all we could hear were birds and the occasional sheep and our host’s dog wandering about. We even saw a pair of deer one evening. We enjoyed sitting outside the annexe in the evening with our dinner, chilling with a glass of wine. Short drive into Bridport itself, West Bay and local beaches. First night we ate in the local pub, The New Inn, fantastic food and friendly service. We also had brunch in town at the Soulshine cafe on South Street which is highly recommended. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed trying out the heated blanket. Our host couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful, email & WhatsApp communication was excellent and she came to meet us on arrival and to say goodbye as we headed home.

We can’t think of anything we didn’t like!

The property was lovely and contained everything we needed.

The location on Booking.com showed as being a 15 min walk to the centre of Burton Bradstock, where our friends were staying, but it was an hours walk so we had to get a taxi to be able to drink alcohol.
