The property is in a beautiful location and is a lovely space. Our dog was made welcome and the owners had very kindly left us a couple of goodies to enjoy. Communication from the owners was great.
The outside space is lovely and easy access to the Tarka Trail for lovely walks, especially if you have a dog.
Although it didn’t spoil our stay the property did smell and feel a bit damp and a few things do feel a little tired.
For the avoidance of any doubt, as it is not clear on the property page, as pictures of two single beds in a room are shown - there isn’t a room with two single beds. It is three double rooms and one with bunk beds. Also, the room with bunk beds has no storage or hanging space.
Lastly, although it sleeps 8, there are only 5 chairs to be able to sit and eat for some reason, which was fine for us as we were only 5, but if you have any more people it might be a problem.

A lovely location but the property needs so much TLC.
There are several Health and Safety issues with this property especially around the decking area. The balustrading is unsafe to touch. The decking area is also a trip hazard as it is very uneven and has loosened in places.
The BBQ is not sufficient for 8 people and the house is not equipped for a seated meal around a table for 8 people. Considering this house is marketed as a 8 person house it has insufficient table seating.

Perfect location for a family get together.
Property was clean. Facilities were as described. Plenty of space for everyone without feeling on top of each other.
Although it didn't dampen our stay a little TLC is needed on a few things. Decking could do with weather treating and the garden sofa could do with fixing.

The view
There were issues with cleanliness and owner offered to resolve with the cleaning team but we resolved ourselves. Seating arrangements for more than 5 would be an issue and as per others previous feedback, clearly there had been issues with damp but ceilings have yet to be restored. The 4th bedroom has no wardrobe or clothes rail/bin and the whole property could welcome a deep clean, especially the walls. We have reported our issues with Booking.com and will liaise with them directly
