Location was an even distance from the airport to city centre which is what we wanted as we arrived on a late flight. Located on a quiet suburban residential street. Small breakfast in the room and tea/coffee facilities was a nice touch. Mattress was comfortable.

Bathroom had some maintenance issues with a leak from the sink causing water on the floor and the shower was poor. Could have been a bit cleaner. Walls are paper thin, got woken by other guests several times. The unmanned check in caused us issues and also other guests as we could hear the buzzer ringing continuously for over an hour late at night.

The room was clean and cozy. 10 min drive from the airport. The staff was very hospitable, organized some nice things for breakfast in the room.

The shower curtains need renovation and the kettle and coffee maker as well, because there is a lot of scale and it is unpleasant to drink .

Smiling staff

There is no reception. It feels a bit like being in someone's home. The smell was not very good. The corridors and areas outside the room seemed very run down. We stayed for 5 minutes before reserving somewhere else!

Near the Swiss borders an average stay

The room was nice

The breakfast was not fresh, it was already in the room from the night, tea and coffee are very bad, the machine was full of white particles in the boiler, that needs to be substituted. Parking is not private and you need to pay for it as from 9 o'clock in the morning. Moreover, the neighbor came out to f his garage and hit my car on purpose, I did not have the time to search for him or her as I needed to move towards the airport in the morning. May he or she be paid with the same as they did.

the location the staff very helpful even though he can’t speak much English he is very nice man I mage to explain to him that I need proper breakfast and I show him on YouTube how to make it to our Suprise he makes it for us and we give him money to do it I will recommend the place to anyone any time.

Great place for short stay while visiting Basel

It is nicely set up, all that you need for a short stay visiting Basel. The equipment is brand new and the bed is very comfortable. The owner also left sweet breakfast for us, which came in handy leaving early in the morning.

Prijs - kwaliteit: prima verblijf voor 1 nacht als je niet teveel verwacht.

We konden zonder probleem zeer laat arriveren. Gastheer verwelkomde ons gastvrij. Rustig gelegen.

Het was (met name de badkamer) niet schoon. Ontbijt (cakeje, klein broodjes) stonden de avond ervoor al op de kamer klaar, was daardoor niet vers.

Le Cocon des Lys est situé dans un immeuble et un quartier tranquille à deux pas de la Suisse et de l' Allemagne. L' hospitalité et la disponibilité de l' hôte est réelle.

Les chambres sont situées dans un bâtiment à plusieurs utilités (logements, chambres Cocon des Lys et logement de l' hôte). Il peut donc y avoir un peu de bruits. Ca a été mon cas le premier soir mais cela ne m' a pas empêché de passer un bon séjour! La fermeté du matelas est peut-être un peu trop forte pour moi.

Le lit confortable, la communication téléphonique pour entrer dans les lieux (la personne à répondu à mes interrogations)

Grosses toiles d araignées, déjeuner déjà prêt dans la chambre ( pains et gâteaux de mauvaise qualité ), machine à café pleine de calcaire, idem pour la bouilloire, pas d eau, wifi et TV non fonctionnels. Pas d insonorisation (avion et voisins de chambres qui se croient chez eux). Pas de réception en présentielle.
